General Hospital Spoilers: GH Alum Emma Samms Recovering From Coronavirus (COVID-19)

General Hospital alum, Emma Samms has revealed that she is recovering from the coronavirus. Samms is not the only daytime soap opera star to reveal her touch with the virus – stars like; Greg Rikaart (Leo Stark, Days of Our Lives and Kevin Fisher, The Young and the Restless), Chloe Lanier (Nelle Benson, General Hospital), Paulina Bugembe (Valerie Spencer, GH) and Christie Clark (Carrie Brady, DAYS) also revealed their touch with the illness.

While celebrating and announcing her daughter, Micha Hollywood’s 22nd birthday she announced her dealing with the virus. In a tweet, she wrote, “This is my beautiful daughter Micha. It’s her 22nd birthday today but she’s on her own and I’m on day 10 of dealing with coronavirus, so I can’t even give her a hug. Please could you all wish her a Happy Birthday? And RT? Thank you”.

General Hospital News – Thanks English National Health

The COVID-19 pandemic has proven to be a strong one affecting persons worldwide. Samms currently resides in the United Kingdom. Her first tweet indicated, “I want to thank the English National Health Service, who looked after me so wonderfully yesterday. Symptoms meant I had to go to the hospital, wasn’t admitted (thankfully), but therefore no test is done. Doctors, sure I’m COVID-19-positive, but with no proof, I can’t volunteer to help NHS when I’m better.”

After a trip to the hospital on March 23, Samms revealed that she was isolated as she continued the recovery process that kept her from her family including her beautiful daughter. It must be a very tough time having to stay away from the ones you love wishing you could show them love on their big and special day. But isolation is important while dealing with this ugly virus.

Samms is best known to soap fans for her role as Holly Sutton Scorpio on General Hospital. She first appeared on the ABC daytime drama back in 1982 and made her last appearance on the show in 2015. She has been a fan favorite since and fans would definitely love having her back on the show in the near future.
