General Hospital Spoilers: GH Alum Emma Samms Takes On New Feature Film Role

General Hospital (GH) spoilers has some exciting news to pass on about a former GH star. Emma Samms, who portrayed Holly Sutton on the ABC soap, will be appearing in a new feature film about ancient Briton history titled “Briganita.”

Briganita Takes Place In Ancient England

The movie is set to begin filming in 2020 in the UK and is about the life journey of a young Druid minister in ancient England during the time of Christ. It will be produced by the Biograph Company and will be a unique film in that no prior works have dramatized this period of England’s history and origins.

The story will begin in 1960, when a group of children travel to North England on a field trip. They find a cave where ancient Britons lived over 2000 years ago. Years, later, one of the children becomes an archaeologist and returns with his crew. Together, they discover a compelling history of Britain in the paintings and writings in the cave.

The rest of the film tells the story of “Airell,” a young Druid minister whose personal journey that is told through the paintings and the writings in the cave. He ultimately goes on a journey that results in a new spiritual awakening for him. It sounds like a fascinating story and a unique subject matter that is sure to thrill audiences.

Emma Samms Will Portray “Ula”

As for Emma, she will be portraying the character of “Ula” in the film. She’ll be in good company, as James Robinson will star as the main character “Airell.” James has also appeared in Braveheart, Outlander, The Full Monty, and Coronation Street. James Phelps will also appear in the film – he’s well-known as “Fred Weasley” from the Harry Potter movies.

Emma is best known for her role as Holly Sutton on General Hospital, having made her last appearance on GH back in 2015. GH fans are always hopeful for a Holly return. She’s also known for her role as Fallon Carrington Colby on the primetime soap Dynasty. But she has appeared in numerous other television series, including Casualty, Doctors, and Holby City.

Emma has also appeared in several movies over the years, including Vendetta, The Marksman, and Delirious. And although it will be a while before Briganita is released, we’re looking forward to seeing her appearance there.
