General Hospital Spoilers: Gio’s Shocking Wake-Up Call-His Whole Life’s Been A Lie?

General Hospital spoilers and rumors tease Gio Palmieri’s (Giovanni Mazza) in for a shocking wake-up call, eventually, if not sooner. It’s almost a done deal that the show is heading in the direction of making him the grown-up baby of Brook Lynn Chase (Amanda Setton) and Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna)!

Gio Palmieri Grew Up Believing His Dad Was A Soldier And His Mom A Opera Singer

Gio grew up believing his dad was a soldier who died in Afghanistan and his mom was an opera singer, who also sadly died-she was a cousin of the Cerullo’s. At least according to Lois Cerullo (Rena Sofer) who seems to be keeping a huge secret even from Brook Lynn!

Lois acts like she knows more than she claims about Brook Lynn and Dante’s baby who Brook Lynn gave up for adoption as a teenager.

Apparently, what Lois did is arrange a private in-family adoption between herself and her cousin, and Brook Lynn must have given birth under anesthesia.

Brook Lynn has never said anything about holding the baby or even knowing whether it was a boy or a girl, but that might be because of the adoption decision.

The Truth Comes Out, It Always Does

Another person not quite in the loop would be Sonny Corinthos, (Maurice Benard) who paid for Gio’s schooling-turns out it’s not because he knows or would suspect he’s his grandson.

It’s simply because Sonny is such extended family to the Cerullos, he had the money and so he wanted to help, especially after Gio’s “dad” died!

Lois has been keeping this secret Gio’s whole life, and not even Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) knows the truth, Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) either.

When the truth finally comes out, it will be like the shot heard around the Quartermaine and Corinthos world-and Lois will have some explaining to do!

Especially to Gio-whose whole life will feel like a lie, and maybe that’s why she never told, but now circumstances will force her admission!

Identity Crisis Magnified

Brook Lynn might be upset, so might Sonny, Dante and Olivia-but not nearly as much as Gio, for whom it will be a literal life-altering experience!

The secret that Brook Lynn had a baby as a teenager with Dante will ruffle feathers for sure, especially Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) who she never told.

Ned will be upset that Lois didn’t keep him in the loop about his own daughter, and Lulu Spencer, (Alexa Havins) Brook Lynn’s new assistant won’t be happy either!

Brook Lynn wants to avoid the type of crisis her child put up for adoption will endure, so it won’t be her who initiates the truth coming out, and it won’t be Lois either.

There’s an extremely soapy chance a circumstance will arise with Gio being injured and requiring a transfusion of blood type only Dante or Brook Lynn will match!
