General Hospital Spoilers: Heartbreak Ahead For Josslyn

General Hospital spoilers tease that Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) could be setting herself up for a heartache, by being overly-positive to the point of not being realistic about Oscar Nero’s (Garren Stitt) condition.

In a recent General Hospital episode, she gave Oscar a five year day planner in which she filled out the first year with activities for her and Oscar.

Of course, her point is about trying to get him to think positive, which is an important factor in recovery from any illness or accident.  But, if the immunotherapy treatment doesn’t work for Oscar and he were to die, Joss would be even more devastated after planning out the whole year ahead for the two of them!

Oscar hasn’t been eating well and sleeping a lot, which could be just part of the reaction to the immunotherapy protocol, but then again, it could be a sign it’s not working. Other General Hospital spoilers say that his mother Kim Nero (Tamara Braun) will soon have a meeting with Dr. Terry Randolph (Cassandra James), Oscar’s oncologist, and that Joss will support Oscar during the same week the meeting takes place.

The protocol started the first day of December, and so the first week of January makes sense to have a medical update meeting to evaluate if the therapy is working or not. This was an experimental trial, and even though some patients had recovered, others had not, so it was a chance, not a promise. But he hasn’t been shown to have any more seizures so that’s a plus, and a hopeful sign!

However, when a terminal disease is portrayed in a soap opera, plans for the future don’t usually bode well for the future of the terminally ill character; and even though fans may be rooting for recovery, sometimes writers will feel death will provide more drama.
