General Hospital spoilers and updates pose the question, is Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) sincere about wanting to help Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner)? And does he really want to make amends with his former buddy, or does he have an angle?
Drew And Curtis Were Buddies And Had A PI Business Together Years Ago
It’s true that Drew and Curtis were buddies and had a PI business together years ago, before Drew disappeared in Afghanistan, and was played by the late Billy Miller.
Drew even knows one of Curtis’s most embarrassing secrets-he’s absolutely terrified of rats, he found that out when they had to dumpster dive to find some evidence!
Drew teased and teased him about it, although in a good-natured way, considering a big guy like Curtis compared to a rat is like Goliath compared to David.
Once Drew got more integrated into the Quartermaines, before his son Oscar Nero (Garren Stitt) died from a brain tumor, and he and Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) had Scout, the PI business went by wayside.
And Drew and Sam were the founders of Aurora Media, the company Curtis swindled out from under Drew.
Martin Grey Thought Drew Was Sincere
Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) thought Drew was sincere in wanting to make amends with Curtis and helping him at Curtis’ trial-he offered to change his testimony which he was called to give anyway.
Drew had communicated by blinks to Detective Joe Fitzpatrick (Jonathan Bennett) that Willow Cain (Katelyn MacMullen) had been on Route 91 the night of Curtis and Jordan Ashford’s (Tanisha Harper) wreck.
Had Joe been a prosecutor in a courtroom, he’d have been accused of asking leading questions-so saying Joe misread his blinks will work, they couldn’t use it as evidence anyway. Joe did ask leading questions and Drew merely blinked yes and no answers.
So, If Drew Has An Angle, What Is It?
So, if Drew has an angle, what is it-chances are, it’s not against Curtis; for one thing, Drew needs a job and if he can help Curtis, maybe Curtis will help him.
The ones Drew really wants to hurt are the Quartermaines, of which Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) is one.
Perhaps his angle is merely to regain the company he founded and get it out of the Quartermaines’ hands and take Michael’s place and be on equal footing with Curtis.
Regaining his spot in the company he co-founded will have an additional perk; he would also be in a position of authority over Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) and Crimson Magazine!
Drew might be okay for a while for whatever money he might have, but for all he knows, Willow might try to rob him blind in alimony-he’s got to do something!
