General Hospital Spoilers: Jason Is Convinced Cyrus Has To Be Keeping Sonny Somewhere

General Hospital spoilers tease that in Port Charles, NY Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) will be convinced that Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) has to be keeping Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) somewhere in upcoming episodes of General Hospital!

General Hospital Spoilers – Sonny Corinthos Has To Be Somewhere!

General Hospital viewers will recall that there has been no trace of Sonny found since the footbridge over the Hackensack River collapsed under him. Julian Jerome’s (William DeVry) body was found right away but there has been no trace of Sonny – no clothing, no shoes, no ID, phone or gun. Cyrus knew that Sonny (Maurice Benard) was missing and presumed dead right away, when he challenged Jason on the pier. He didn’t find it out from Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) so he had to know from somewhere else.

Jason (Steve Burton) had killed one of his goons in self-defense in the Secaucus, New Jersey train station but Cyrus must have had other contacts in the area or he couldn’t have known how everything went down! There should be some trace of Sonny, (Maurice Benard) his body or other personal effects that would have surfaced by now. Jason had people stationed even in New York where the river ends in the harbor and goes out to sea, and yet, nothing!

That is why Jason thinks that Cyrus must have had other contacts in the area after he killed the first goon, that also were close to the footbridge. They could have possibly been down underneath the safer parts of the bridge, on the banks watching and aiming guns, but Sonny fell before they could take any action. Someone would have had to have intercepted Sonny right away and taken him somewhere!

GH Spoilers – Why Would Cyrus Renault Keep Sonny Corinthos Hostage But Not Make A Demand Concerning His Release?

One thing that Jason is puzzling over, however, is if Cyrus is holding Sonny hostage somewhere why he isn’t making demands concerning Sonny’s release. He has the power now – he could easily have demanded Jason turn over the territory in exchange for Sonny’s life. But he hasn’t – he keeps insisting Sonny is dead, and that’s why he’s coming to Jason to turn over the territory. Now Jason has another issue to worry about, however. Since Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) had Cyrus’ mother, Florence Grey (Annie Abbott) transferred to one of their safe houses, if Cyrus is holding him somewhere that would put Sonny in danger.

Jason knows about what happened to TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow) when Cyrus had him held hostage and how he was treated. Cyrus demands mercy for his mother, yet has no mercy when it comes to his enemies or their families! Jason knows that Sonny could be drugged and that may be why he has not come home or made contact with anyone, or have been injured. Cyrus may just decide to keep Sonny drugged – as Jason himself was at the Boronsky Clinic – and tied up as a means to an end of forcing a transfer of territory so he can continue to run drugs freely through Port Charles. It may be Cyrus’ intent to fake Sonny’s death in order to take over!
