General Hospital spoilers spill Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) was quick to save Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) from certain death, but that doesn’t mean he’s back to help the Port Charles mob society — or his best friend, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), in running it.

While there was a gunman with Jason who tried to take Sonny out, Stone Cold interfered and botched the operation.

Risking whatever he had going with the gunman to his left, Jason went out on that limb seemingly to save Sonny. But he can’t hide forever, and coming into plain sight is bound to expose the connections he was harboring who want Sonny dead. So, who are they?

Fans took note of a tearful Jason who seemed to be in tremendous pain and worried that this may be his last ride.

Waiting for a home first aid kit to hopefully patch up a clean bullet wound, it’s impossible to say whether Jason’s teary eyes were a response to pain — something not typical for the Jason we’ve always known — or a response to being reunited with Carly Spencer (Laura Wright).

While we may all be leaning in a certain direction, hopeful that Carly and Jason could find their way back to one another, it’s hard to miss the fact that Sonny is about to face the reality that Jason was working with the people who’ve been after him — and let them into his life.

GH Spoilers – Gush Another Gunman Brings Just As Much Bang

Jason’s partner in crime may have been taken out of the equation when he fired at him on the pier, but there is no doubt he has reported back to his boss that Jason is a traitor.

The problem is, convincing the Corinthos clan of that will be a much harder lift than Jason imagined.

While Carly and Sonny both won’t be able to wrap their minds around the idea of Jason ever wanting to harm Sonny, it could be that he seeks to take everything that once belonged to him — including his ex-wife.

Even if Jason has been working with Sonny’s opposition to try to dismantle their efforts to kill him, he has let them get far too close to his former best friend for him to remain comfortable with letting Jason back into his inner circle.

Will continued attempts on Sonny’s life fuel his contempt for his one-time best friend?

General Hospital Spoilers — The Corinthos Family Will Never Be The Same

Clearly, Jason and his partner in crime are working on someone else’s orders, and when Sonny finds out who Jason has been aiding, it will cross a line we fear there may be no coming back from.

Did he do so all on his own accord? Has he been blackmailed into participating?  If that’s the case, why was he so quick to botch the operation at the warehouse and try to ensure Dante didn’t die?

Rumor has it the person Jason is working for may want Sonny gone, but wants the innocent to remain safe.
