General Hospital Spoilers: Kirsten Storms Back On Set, What Happens When Maxie Jones Returns?General Hospital spoilers reveal that Kirsten Storms had to take a leave of absence following brain surgery. Her character, Maxie Jones, went to stay with family in Texas since she couldn’t stay away from her baby, who is being passed off as Brook Lynn Quartermaine’s (Amanda Setton). The actress is back on set, so we should be seeing Maxie on-screen soon.

GH spoilers reveal that in late June, Kristen Storms took a medical leave of absence. On her Instagram Stories, the actress told fans that she had to have brain surgery. That is major surgery, so her needing time to recuperate is understandable. She clarified that the brain surgery was not for cancer but due to a cyst.

“So I’ve not really spoken about this much, or at all actually. Less than 48 hours ago, I had brain surgery, hence the neck brace. It was on the lower portion of my brain.”

GH Spoilers – Shaved Head

On social media, Storms was asked a lot of questions by her followers. She was kind and patient enough to answer some of them. One person wanted to know if she had to shave her head. She laughed and confirmed that a part of her head was shaved so they could do the operation. She even showed it off since some of her followers were interested in seeing what it looked like.

General Hospital Spoilers – Maxie Jones’ Exit Story

General Hospital spoilers reveal that the soap temporarily wrote off the character. Maxie couldn’t stop seeing and holding her baby. Of course, nobody realizes that Bailey Quartermaine (Harper and Scarlett Bloom) is really Louise “Lou” August. Maxie felt that the only way to protect her baby from Peter August (Wes Ramsey) was to hand her over to Brook Lynn. However, when Maxie couldn’t resist spending time with Bailey, Monica Quartermaine (Leslie Charleson) expressed her concerns. She was worried about Maxie’s mental health.

Realizing it was becoming a problem and she would either end up in the psychiatric hospital or blow the baby swap, Maxie went to Texas to stay with her family.

General Hospital Spoilers: Back On Set

According to a July 30 report by Soap Opera News, Storms is back on set. The last time we saw her character on-screen was on June 19. There is no confirmation on when Maxie’s return to Port Charles will air on ABC. However, what happens with her character depends on the Peter mystery. His body went missing from the freezer where Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) had stashed it. So, either Peter’s body was taken by someone or he wasn’t really dead.

We imagine that by the time Maxie comes back, she might be stronger and better able to handle the baby swap. However, no mother can go through that for long and stay sane. Let’s hope that the Peter situation gets resolved soon so Maxie can finally be a mother to her child.
