What began years ago with the Ice Princess continues to this day. And no one has been more intimately involved with both families than Mayor Laura Collins (Genie Francis).

General Hospital spoilers reveal Laura was married to Luke Spencer (Anthony Geary) for many years, and she also shares a son, Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) with the deceased Stavros Cassadine (Robert Kelker Kelly).

Laura won’t back down when her family is at stake. With Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) roaming the streets of Port Charles, Laura will certainly know that no matter what she needs to protect her family. While Nikolas knows enough to keep clear of Victor, her grandson Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) doesn’t have the years of experience to deal with Victor properly. Spencer may be unwittingly swayed by Victor, much the way he’s been duped by his supposed girlfriend Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl). In some way, Laura may feel that she is battling Victor for Spencer’s very soul.

GH Spoilers – Victor Cassadine Is A Dangerous Sociopath!

Laura knows first hand how dangerous Victor is. He was there when the Cassadine family planned to freeze Port Charles. He was also the head of the WSB for many years, and used his position within that organization to further his criminal intentions.

There is no reason to believe his intentions have changed these last few years! And he had the potential to influence Spencer for years to come and Laura can’t have that. The Cassadine blood is powerful on General Hospital and Laura has seen Nikolas give in to his darker side over the years.

So one of the first things on Laura’s agenda once she returns to Port Charles will certainly be Victor. Look for her to warn Victor away from Nikolas and Spencer. But judging from Victor’s Thanksgiving speech to his family, he plans to keep his family, all of them close to him. Can he convince Laura that his intentions are good? For that matter, are they?
