Shawn explained that he lost years of his life over being falsely imprisoned and money can’t give him that time back. Nikolas ended up striking a deal with Shawn. However, this story is far from over. Despite Nikolas believing the situation is handled, the other shoe is about to drop.

General Hospital Spoilers – Alexis Davis’ Reluctant Debt

General Hospital spoilers reveal that Alexis has been pardoned by the governor, a move that was facilitated by Nikolas. Even though Alexis is looking forward to being reunited with her family, she fears there will be a price. Alexis and Nikolas meet before the inmate is released from Spring Ridge. Alexis makes it clear that she doesn’t trust him and doesn’t want to owe Nikolas anything. Coloma teased to Soap Opera Digest,

“I think he’s shocked by that… I think he has certainty that she will get over it and forgive him. I feel like he kind of just lets it slide off his back and trusts his ultimate plan on things.”

GH Spoilers – Nikolas Cassadine’s Paranoia

With that being said, Nikolas will continue to be paranoid about the truth coming out. It is this paranoia that might be Nikolas’ downfall. The actor explained to the publication,

“… Nikolas gets so paranoid, he’s like a fugitive on the run… He feels like it’s a rattlesnake. It isn’t necessarily going to bite him, but there’s still a rattlesnake in the room! There’s an uneasiness, for sure – a defensive uneasiness.”
