General Hospital spoilers tease that Laura Webber Collins (Genie Francis) may divorce the real Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) after all, once she finds out he kept his evil twin Ryan Chamberlain’s survival a secret for all these years! Certainly, he meant well, and only wanted to keep Ryan safe in Ferncliff and possibly other facilities over the years until hopefully, medicine would develop a cure for Ryan. He just didn’t count on Ryan switching places with him by force! But, he should have at least let Laura in the loop. And, according to an interview with “TV Insider” from February 1, 2019, portrayer Jon Lindstrom agrees!
Lindstrom received a Daytime Emmy pre-nomination for his work as the two twins, and in the interview, he states there will be big payback for Laura and Kevin because he kept this secret from even her. He mentions there will be of necessity, a rebuilding process for Kevin, and that Ryan has pretty much become beyond redemption. Laura already has accepted the marriage is over, although she still takes concern for Kevin, who she does not yet know is really Ryan.
Meanwhile, Kevin is still trapped in Ferncliff in Ryan’s place, and blind from the blindness virus to boot! Once Ryan is taken down either by death or incarceration and the real Kevin is rescued, Laura may have compassion for Kevin because of the blindness (which should be surgically corrected once he’s rescued) but he’ll have a lot of explaining to do about not telling at least her about Ryan!

It’s understandable why Kevin wouldn’t want Port Charles, in general, to know that Ryan survived the funhouse explosion and was in mental institutions the rest of the time. It’s hard to understand why Kevin would care about him at all, considering all the people he killed, even though he first came to Port Charles, to begin with following Ryan, with a mission to rehabilitate and heal him.
Even though like Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) Ryan, and Kevin too for that matter, were sexually abused as children, Franco’s killings were at least partially caused by a brain tumor, which apparently was in the area of the brain that controls impulses. Without the tumor, Franco has been able to redeem himself and hates what he once was. Ryan doesn’t have that luxury…with Ryan, it’s all rage!
Lindstrom also promises that the backstory of how Ryan survived will be played out in the storyline. Even though he doesn’t say Laura will divorce Kevin, it’s certainly implied.
