General Hospital Spoilers: Laura Haunted By Cyrus’ Words, Martin Works To Help Sister!

General Hospital spoilers tease that Laura Collins (Genie Francis) has successfully overcome her greatest obstacle since becoming the Mayor of Port Charles. Laura had no idea when she first encountered Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) that he would end up taking up so much of her headspace. The drug lord was not only a threat to her city, but to her personally as well. As it turns out, both Cyrus and Martin Grey (Michael E Knight) share the same biological father as Laura herself, making both men her half-brother. Once Laura eventually discovered this fact, she had to deal with find a way to stop him. Unfortunately, that meant being in his close proximity more often than she would have liked.

General Hospital Spoilers – Laura Collins Learned How To Think Like Cyrus Renault

Laura learned quite a bit about how Cyrus operates during his time in Port Charles. He was fond of threatening his victim’s loved ones in order to get them to obey his commands. He used Laura’s son Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) by threatening his aunt, Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn), who is serving time in Pentonville. Nikolas brought back Cyrus’ mother, who had been taken by Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) as a ploy to keep Cyrus in check. But Nikolas wasn’t about to let Cyrus continue to hold Alexis over his head, so he threatened to buy the prison himself and make it a privately owned facility.

GH Spoilers – The Dinner Party Charade

Ava Jerome (Maura West) and Nikolas held a family dinner party in order to help Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) carry out a plan that would seriously impact Cyrus criminal activity in Port Charles. While Laura didn’t want to know the specifics, she did agree to attend since she realized that she is his weak spot. Laura spent several hours trying to be cordial before she finally blew up and made it perfectly clear that Cyrus would never be a part of her family, and that she felt absolutely nothing for him. Cyrus got the message loud and clear and from that point on considered Laura an enemy.

General Hospital Spoilers – Will Cyrus Renault’s Prophecy About The Darkness Within Laura Collins Come To Pass?

Cyrus was finally arrested and captured and will be going to a maximum security prison far from Port Charles. But before he left, he taunted Laura one last time by telling her that they were more alike that she could admit. He told her that the darkness in his mind is a trait they both share and the next time they might, she might be ready to accept her dark side and accept him as her brother. Although Laura brushed it off, Cyrus’ words did get to Laura. So look for her to turn to the one person who might understand what Laura is going through.

GH Spoilers – Can Martin Grey Help Laura Collins Forget Cyrus Renault’s Words?

Martin is the one good thing Laura discovered when Cyrus came into her life. Although he certainly isn’t perfect, Laura knew by the way he spoke to his mother that he was good at heart. And while the two of them will certainly have issues as they get to know one another, Martin is the one person who would be able to tell Laura if she starts to act more like their shared brother. Martin will likely believe that she has nothing to worry about, but he will agree to help any way he can. Hopefully Cyrus will be in prison for a long, long time so hopefully by the time he returns, if he ever does, Martin and Laura will consider each other true brother and sister and Cyrus will have no power over either of them.
