General Hospital (GH) spoilers suggest that Jordan Ashford’s (Briana Nicole Henry) plan to rescue her son, TJ (Tajh Bellows) and to take out Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) for good may be in jeopardy. That’s because the mayor of Port Charles, Laura Spencer (Genie Francis) has become suspicious that a dirty cop is on the loose in the PCPD!

GH fans know that Laura Spencer despises criminal mastermind, Cyrus Renault. After all, the man organized and ordered an assassination attempt on Sonny Corinthos’s (Maurice Benard) family members, and Laura ended up a victim. In fact, Laura only recently recovered after being shot in the stomach! GH viewers can likely empathize with Laura’s desire to remove Cyrus as a threat to Port Charles once and for all.

With that said, GH fans who have been paying attention over the past month know that Laura has become increasingly suspicious. Viewers might recall that Laura arranged to have Cyrus transferred from Pentonville Prison’s general population to solitary confinement.

Surely, all alone Cyrus could not impact the city! Yet, despite Laura’s efforts, she’s learned that huge drug shipments are still making their way into the city she is supposed to govern. That means the cops missed it. It could also mean the cops allowed it. If the latter is true, then someone, somewhere, within the Port Charles police department could be coordinating with Cyrus.

Of course, Laura Spencer cannot allow that!

General Hospital Spoilers – Laura’s Already Spoken With Jordan

As most GH viewers know by now, Laura has already had some serious conversations about stopping Cyrus with Jordan Ashford. They also know that Laura has become increasingly impatient and frustrated with what appears to be incompetence on Jordan’s part. From Laura’s point of view, Jordan’s efforts to bring Cyrus to heel have been ineffectual at best. Moreover, even when Laura has suggested fighting fire with fire, perhaps by refusing to stand on principle, Jordan simply brushed her off.

Drugs are coming into the city, Jordan doesn’t seem to be doing her job properly, and now …
Now GH viewers know that Jordan has implicated her former partner, Marcus Taggert (Réal Andrews) along with her other teammates in a scheme to frame Cyrus! How can that be? Doesn’t Jordan know Cyrus could walk fee, completely exonerated, if it’s proven evidence used to convict him was tampered with?
Laura Spencer can’t allow that either!

General Hospital Spoilers – Laura Recruits Mac Scorpio

From Laura’s point of view it’s insane that the names of three dead police officers, all good men, will now be tarnished. No. Something isn’t right. The picture is askew. GH fans might have secretly cheered to themselves then, when Laura put Mac Scorpio (John J. York) on the case.

While there are those who definitely want to see Sonny’s plan to rescue TJ, murder Cyrus, and have Jordan retain her job as police commissioner … there are just as many at this point who are saying to themselves … “wait a minute.” Jordan actually was the one to break the law because she couldn’t wait to get Cyrus off the streets!

Taggert and Jordan’s teammates don’t deserve to have their names dishonored for Jordan’s crimes. Cyrus shouldn’t walk free, but if he does, Jordan honestly should be the one to trade places with him. In fact, GH fans might remember the look of horror and unbelief on Mac’s face when he heard Jordan’s accusations against Taggert. Some may believe it’s a good thing Laura recruited Mac to look deeper into Jordan’s story.

Regardless, as this tangled web unweaves, one thing is certain. When Laura discovers Jordan was the dirty cop she suspected, even should she sympathize over TJ’s predicament, Jordan’s either going to jail or she’s going to lose her job.

In that case, GH viewers might ask … could Mac Scorpio take Jordan’s place as Port Charles’s police commissioner?
