General Hospital Spoilers LEAK: Fake Marriage Twist Rocks Port Charles – Which Couple Fakes Love To Survive?

General Hospital spoilers and updates tease there’s a new leak from the ABC soap about a couple who will fake a marriage of convenience.

The leaker said it WON’T BE Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) and Valentin Cassadine, (James Patrick Stuart) so let’s discuss some other options.

There Have Been Many Marriages Of Convenience In Port Charles

General Hospital has featured marriages of convenience several times over the years. For example, Carly married Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) more than once to avoid testifying against him.

Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) and Brenda Barrett (Vanessa Marcil) did the same thing years ago. Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) married Holly Sutton (Emma Samms) when she was pregnant so she wouldn’t be deported.

Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) and Jasper Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) also got married as part of a scheme, even though Alexis was secretly with Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) at the time.

Ava Jerome (Maura West) and Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss) started out with a blackmail-based marriage and then of course fell in love.

Another Marriage Of Convenience On The Way In Port Charles-Portia And Isaiah?

And now with several crimes unsolved but still brewing in Port Charles, we’re about to get another one according to the leaker.

So, one couple to consider is Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) and Isaiah Gannon (Sawandi Wilson).

Now they are in a relationship, but they’re not at the marriage stage; so, that would still be a marriage of convenience by definition. And if they got hitched, Portia couldn’t be questioned.

Because if she was his wife, she wouldn’t have to answer anything about Isaiah’s whereabouts the night that Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) drove recklessly and caused her own accident.

Isaiah Went To Lulu’s To Treat Rocco’s Hand

If you remember, Isaiah was going over to Lulu Spencer’ s (Alexa Havins Bruening) to treat Rocco Falconeri‘s (Finn Carr) infection, and Portia didn’t know what patient he was seeing.

With Isaiah questioned by Justine Turner (Nazneen Contractor) this week, he and Portia may do a quickie wedding so she can’t be questioned by the PCPD about Isaiah. And 100% Portia would do that to cover for Isaiah; she doesn’t mind gray areas-plus, it makes sense.

Because Portia is serious about Isaiah and he’s ready and willing to play stepdaddy to her and Curtis Ashford’s (Donnell Turner) baby. Because the only one who needs to face consequences on this wreck is Jordan, although she’s paying dearly enough with her scars.

Jason And Britt Could Marry When Steve Burton Returns

Another idea is that when Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) returns in July, he and Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) could get together.

If they get married, Britt wouldn’t have to testify against Jason in court about the shooting; she already told the police that Jason shot Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) because Jason asked her to.

If Jason is officially charged by the PCPD, even though Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) knows the truth, Jason might say, “Look, I’ll just go down for this to protect Rocco.”

So, if Britt marries Jason, she can avoid testifying, and both Jason and Britt want to protect Rocco. If Britt marries Jason, she wouldn’t have to testify, and Jason could plead the fifth to avoid self-incrimination.

Nina And Jack Could Get Married

Looking at the storyline where Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) injects Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna) with Drew Cain’s (Cameron Mathison) medication, they could end up in a marriage of convenience. If Jack survives his “stroke,” both Nina and Jack will face questions they’d rather avoid.

If they get married, Nina wouldn’t have to testify about what happened at Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) and Willow Cain’s (Katelyn MacMullen) house, and Jack could also keep quiet about the events there.

He probably doesn’t want the truth to come out. Nina was actually aiming for Valentin, trying to protect both Jack and Willow.

Jack May Not Want To Marry Nina, But Might Go Along With It

Jack may not want to marry Nina, or get married, period-still, Jack might go along with it. Nina could threaten to expose him for blackmailing her and Willow; plus, Jack is still upset about Carly cheating with Valentin.

Carly would be furious if he suddenly married Nina, who she can’t stand-that could give Jack another reason to consider a marriage of convenience, besides the legal benefits.

Willow might also keep her promise to help with WSB funding, which means Jack wouldn’t have to testify about anything involving Nina, what she did to him, or what she and Willow are doing to Drew.

On top of that, this could be Nina’s way of getting back at Valentin and Carly for their hookup, since she’ll probably be jealous when she finds out.

Cassius And Lulu-Doubtful, But Maybe

Here’s another awkward couple to think about: not Nathan West (Ryan Paevey) and Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening).

If Cassius Faison (Ryan Paevey) married Lulu, they could dodge questions about the Rocco coverup-that way, Lulu wouldn’t have to explain what Cassius did to help protect Rocco if the truth came out.

Right now, though, Lulu is mad at not-Nathan for telling her to take Rocco and Charlotte Cassadine (Bluesy Burke) and leave town because of the danger from Cullum.

They just had a big fight, and their relationship is still new. Lulu is already noticing things about him she doesn’t like, probably because he isn’t Nathan.

Carly And Jack Get Married?

The last possible couple to discuss would be a real shocker; Laura Wright shared a photo wearing a fancy white suit in her dressing room on set.

Imagine if she had to marry Jack Brennan to protect either Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) or Valentin; right now, Carly can’t stand Jack, but she would do anything to protect Josslyn. This could be Jack’s way of getting back at Carly for cheating on him with Valentin and flaunting it.

Jack would probably enjoy making Valentin deal with the fact that he is married to the woman Valentin cares about. If Carly had to marry Jack, it wouldn’t just be a marriage of convenience; it would be a marriage filled with hatred.
