A New Adventure For Jason
Being a corporate businessman would be a new adventure for Jason. He has always stayed away from the Quartermaine family businesses, although he’s owned stock as a family member.

Historically, Jason has kept his distance from the offices and businesses the Quartermaines were involved in.
For many years, the corporate world was a turnoff for him, even though, before the head injury that changed him so drastically, Jason had been a medical student.
He was following in Alan and Monica Quartermaine’s (Stuart Damon, Leslie Charleson) footsteps until his traumatic brain injury.
This is also one of the rare times in decades that Jason hasn’t been working for Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).
Except, of course, for the times he was presumed dead, held at the Boronsky Clinic as Patient Six, or forced into working for the FBI.

Jason Faces Major Responsibilities At ELQ And Deception
Jason would have to bone up on Deception and ELQ so he could make decisions and vote in business meetings. He might even have to wear a suit!
That’s also unusual for Jason, unless he’s attending a wedding or funeral.
By asking him to be her proxy, Tracy would be entrusting Jason with a lot of responsibility, particularly in a business world he’s never wanted to be part of.
At the same time, it would show a great deal of trust in her nephew, the kind of trust he hasn’t always received from the Quartermaine family.
Jason could finally feel accepted as a real member of the Quartermaine family, not that he hasn’t always been one.
Michael Corinthos Could Help Jason Prepare
Even though Jason knows the basics about the companies and what they do, he’s never been directly involved in running them.
He’s always been more comfortable looking in from the outside.
Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) would probably help Jason learn more about the businesses if there’s enough time before Tracy has to leave.
There may be time to prepare if the situation isn’t a complete emergency.
Rumor has it that the family member in trouble could be Tracy’s youngest son, Dillon Quartermaine (most recently played by Robert Palmer Watkins).
However, the kind of trouble Dillon might be facing hasn’t been revealed.
Jason stepping into the corporate world as a voting proxy would certainly be something new, and he’d likely do his best to make Tracy proud.

Now this is a storyline I’d love to see! Can you imagine Jason Morgan sitting in an ELQ board meeting, wearing a suit and making business decisions instead of handling Sonny’s problems?
I actually think Jason could surprise everyone. He’s always been smarter than people give him credit for, and maybe it’s time the Quartermaines finally put that intelligence to good use.
And if Tracy really is leaving town because Dillon is in trouble, could that mean we’re getting another Quartermaine family storyline?
