General Hospital Spoilers: Lucas Heartbroken Over Losing Wiley – Michael Convinces Him To Help Defeat Brad And Nelle?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers suggest that Lucas Jones (Ryan Carnes) may be too emotionally distraught to allow himself a place in his former son’s life. Although Lucas didn’t do anything wrong, the son he believed he legitimately adopted turned out to belong to Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell). In the space of a day, Lucas not only lost his son but his husband, Brad Jones (Parry Shen), as well. If the truth were told, GH fans may agree that the impact of these events has yet to fully unfold for Lucas.

However, like many faced with severe emotional trauma, we know that Lucas has retreated from his family. Now he isolates himself from the pain as much as possible by immersing himself in work. The only distraction for the moment it seems is his move to divorce the man he trusted. Yet this too is emotionally overwhelming since Brad was a man he’d allowed himself to deeply love.

General Hospital Spoilers – Lucas Jones misses Wiley Cooper Jones

One might wish that circumstances would just leave Lucas alone, or that fate might be kind and open some amazing doors where others have obviously shut. However, this might not happen for Lucas. At least, not yet. Because he was a major player (albeit unwittingly) in the horrific baby-swapping scheme concocted by and carried out by Brad and Nelle Benson (Chloe Lanier), Lucas may end up as a witness in Michael’s upcoming child custody battle.

Michael may decide that it is in his own best interests to drag Lucas back into the picture. After all, the resurgence of Lucas’s memories was the reason for Brad’s ultimate confession. If Lucas had chosen to remain silent, Brad and Nelle’s deception would have continued. Lucas would still be a father. Yet Lucas chose to be honest and to deliver Michael’s son back to him. Although Michael respects that and understands the emotional trauma Lucas is now going through, he can also be ruthless when need be.

GH Spoilers – Lucan Jones Still In Wiley Cooper Jones’s Life

When it comes to defeating Nelle, Michael may need to be as cold-blooded as possible. Unfortunately, that may mean causing Lucas more pain. The upside (from Michael’s perspective) is that Lucas is family and he does not intend to kick his uncle out of Wiley’s life altogether.

He may thus attempt to soften any moves he makes to use Lucas against Brad and Nelle. He might attempt (again) to reassure Lucas that although Lucas can no longer consider himself Wiley’s father, it doesn’t mean that he must exit Wiley’s life for good.

No doubt, Lucas will be willing to help Michael since he is family. However, questions remain. Will Lucas find himself even more damaged, or will he find the peace for which he clearly longs?
