General Hospital spoilers and updates tease Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening) will get disappointing news this week on the ABC soap.
She’s locked into a court battle with Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) over her viral exposé of Willow’s misdeeds; will Willow win again?
Key Takeaways
- Drew and Willow agree to stand together against Lulu’s exposé
- Lulu seeks help from Tracy, Valentin, and Carly
- The WSB could unexpectedly strengthen Willow’s legal defense
- Baines may deny the existence of the alleged stroke-inducing drug
- Lulu risks losing her career and reputation if Willow wins
Drew Offered A Deal To Willow
In Monday, October 26’s General Hospital episode, Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) came to the Quartermaine gatehouse to make a deal with Willow.
They were interrupted by Jason Morgan (Steve Burton), but they had gotten to an agreement about not talking against each other and staying on the same side where the exposé was concerned.
As Drew’s suspicious offer to Willow raised questions about their next move, the former spouses appeared ready to protect their own interests.
Drew had some choice words for Jason about himself and his family, and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and his family, and left.
In the meantime, Lulu was talking to Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot), as well as Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) and Carly Spencer (Laura Wright), about the upcoming court date.
That was at Tracy’s urging, and they agreed to look into the drug angle to confirm whether the WSB has a drug that fakes strokes and keeps someone locked in.
Willow Fights With Both Barrels—And Unexpectedly Has The WSB On Her Side
Willow will fight with both barrels to discredit Lulu’s article, and she may unexpectedly have the WSB on her side—Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) brought up the subject with her boss.
Acting WSB Station Chief William Baines (Alimi Ballard) told Josslyn the WSB would simply deny that they have such a drug.
Willow may just get him to testify to that at the hearing, even though she’d just as soon not have any WSB people around!
But to have Baines testify that they don’t have anything like that and opine that Lulu just made that up would be gold.
As Drew’s concerns about Lulu’s exposé and the Brennan cover-up have already shown, there could be far more at stake than Willow’s reputation.
That could go a long way toward discrediting Lulu and her article entirely, which is her worst fear.
Lulu Won’t Just Be Disappointed, She’ll Be Devastated!
If Lulu indeed does lose this case, she won’t just be disappointed, she’ll be devastated!
She could lose her job, damage her reputation, and struggle to get hired as a writer again!
Lulu has a lot riding on winning this case, and she won’t write a retraction even if she could—a retraction could have serious consequences, considering the exposé went so viral!
Lulu can’t afford to lose her career and her reputation—although she’d always have a home to come home to because of her family there in Port Charles.
She’s got Tracy, she’s got her mother Laura Collins (Genie Francis) once she returns, and even her ex-husband Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) has her back!
Annemarie’s Take
I really hope Willow doesn’t get away with this again! Lulu took a huge risk exposing her, and now it looks like Drew and Willow are willing to protect each other to keep their secrets buried.
What worries me most is the WSB’s involvement. If Baines denies that the drug exists, Lulu could have a very difficult time proving her story.
But I wouldn’t count Tracy out just yet! She’s determined to help Lulu, and I hope she finds something that turns this case around.
I’d much rather see Willow answering for her actions than Lulu losing her career for trying to expose them!
