General Hospital spoilers and updates tease there has to be another reason besides overwhelming grief that Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) couldn’t open up and read his son’s autopsy results.
Could Marco Rios’ (Adrian Anchondo) autopsy results hold a smoking gun to his murder?
Sidwell’s Son Was Killed By Sidwell’s Boss, Ross Cullum
General Hospital fans know that Sidwell’s son Marco was killed by Sidwell’s boss, the duplicitous double agent director of the European WSB, Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes)!
He was killed for “stealing” two vials of Britt Westbourne’s (Kelly Thiebaud) experimental Huntington’s medicine to be reverse-engineered.
He had given them to Lucas Jones (Van Hansis) to give to Britt, and Cullum showed up on the pier right after Lucas met her to give her the meds.
Cullum came from killing Marco to stop Britt from leaving with the meds, destroying the vials; somewhere along the way he hid the knife he used to kill Marco and his cell phone.
They didn’t show up in the evidence from his shooting, and Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) had those files destroyed anyway, to protect his son Rocco Falconeri (Finn Carr).
Sidwell Ordered The Autopsy Results From The Morgue
Sidwell ordered the autopsy results from the morgue, although they are probably just one copy of them-the PCPD would have had a copy as well, unless Dante had that destroyed too.
The autopsy results would show a lot of graphic information-type of wounds, suspected weapons, depth of injuries, and possibly even photos of the body with the injuries.
If the body was opened to look at the organs’ damage, that may have been photographed too, although definitely, if nothing else, there would be a drawing showing injuries.
The report may speculate the type and shape of knife used on Marco, since forensics were involved in this autopsy-those are required in the case of a murder, or a suspected murder.
There’s no “suspected” in this case, it is obvious he was murdered, and brutally, left to bleed out on the floor.
Might Marco’s Autopsy Hold A Smoking Gun?
Might Marco’s autopsy hold a smoking gun-or knife, in this case-that would be revealed if Sidwell read the report? It’s possible that the knife Cullum used is unique-and one that Sidwell would recognize from the description of the wounds.
It’s even possible the knife was one Sidwell had in a collection or something similar within the walls of Wyndemere, and that’s where Cullum got it.
Although the murder was committed in Alexis Davis’ (Nancy Lee Grahn) office, Cullum’s weapon did not look like Helena Cassadine’s (Constance Towers) dagger that Sidwell tried to return to her.
This could have been a knife used by a hunter, to cut his kill open-will Sidwell figure out his son’s killer is his boss when he finally gets the nerve to read the autopsy results?
