General Hospital spoilers and rumors tease that Marshall Ashford (Robert Gossett) may be working for someone who has given him a certain protocol to go by as he finishes his business in Port Charles. Could General Hospital viewers find out that Marshall’s working for Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy)?

General Hospital Spoilers – Following Protocol?

Some General Hospital viewers heard the word “protocol” in a recent General Hospital episode and immediately jumped to a conclusion that Marshall has a terminal disease. While this also could be true, the word “protocol” means a prescribed method or path one is told to take without deviation – like a soldier taking marching orders! Marshall had made a call, told the person on the other end that he was still in Port Charles with business to finish, and that he was following protocol. True, Marshall could have been talking to his doctor – but he also could have been talking to a superior.

GH Spoilers – Did Marshall Ashford Have Joey Novak Beaten Up?

Some General Hospital viewers have thought perhaps that Marshall had Joey Novak (Patrick Zeller) beaten up outside of Kelly’s. While it was highly unlikely that Marshall himself did the beating and instead called henchmen to do the dirty work, Novak had just made trouble for his son. General Hospital viewers know that Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) had contacts in Port Charles even then although at that time they were likely also working for Peter August (Wes Ramsey). It is not at all unreasonable to think that Marshall called upon some of those same contacts to deliver Novak a very unmistakable message!

General Hospital Spoilers – Personal Business While On Cassadine Business?

General Hospital viewers know that Marshall faked his death when Curtis was around seven years old, and Stella Henry (Vernee Watson) knew he faked it. In a recent General Hospital episode, Stella and Marshall had a conversation and he promised not to let on to Curtis that she knew! Marshall was also gone and presumed dead by Curtis and perhaps even by his mother for well over twenty years, to suddenly reappear alive. Considering Victor, then working with Peter when Marshall first showed up, has contacts in Port Charles, could Marshall just be dealing with some personal business while on Cassadine business?

GH Spoilers – Others Have Been Presumed Dead And Reappeared After Many Years

Longtime General Hospital viewers will recall many others in Port Charles have been presumed dead and then reappeared alive after many years! Victor Cassadine himself was presumed dead for at least ten or fifteen years in real time, possibly longer in soap time! In many cases, the individuals who reappeared after many years being presumed dead are or were criminals – Ryan Chamberlain, (Jon Lindstrom) Helena Cassadine, (Constance Towers) or involved with the DVX or the WSB. Both Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) and Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) as well as Duke Lavery (Ian Buchanan) would fit into that category.

General Hospital Spoilers – Is Marshall Ashford A Double Agent?

Longtime General Hospital viewers will remember that Anna was a double agent for both the WSB and the DVX when she first came on General Hospital, even when her daughter was little! Anna’s loyalties, however, have always been with the WSB and she had infiltrated the DVX to pass on their secrets to her superiors. However, her family always knew that she was a spy and there were no secrets kept from them although there were times when Anna of necessity had to be away from Robin Scorpio-Drake (Kimberly McCullough). In Marshall’s case, he could have been operating under a cover when he met and married his wife, and then called away on a secret mission all these years – but the more likely scenario is something different!
