Martin Grey Is Defending Valentin Cassadine Against Murder Charges Regarding Jack Brennan

Martin is defending—or trying to—Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) against murder charges regarding Jack Brennan (Chris L. McKenna), but he’s not giving him much to go on.

Valentin and Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) are both protecting Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn) and Charlotte Cassadine (Bluesy Burke), who found Brennan floating in the Metro Court pool and ran.

Outback had dug up one of his fingers and brought it to the Quartermaine mansion when Valentin and Carly were there talking to Danny, who then confessed the story to them.

He had asked them if they’d seen the dog when they arrived and mentioned she’d been caught digging in the nature preserve several times.

So, not having much of a defense, but knowing part of the reasons for arrest were being in the Metro Court the same day Jack disappeared, he has to do something!

Meanwhile, Tristan’s growing suspicions about Ava and Drew could complicate the investigation even further.

Martin Has A Variety Of Things He Could Blackmail Drew About

Valentin probably does tell Martin about Ava Jerome (Maura West) and Jack being seen together the day of Jack’s disappearance, which Carly remembered.

This was right around the time that her security system was taken down—and even though Valentin might suspect Drew was responsible, Martin may or may not tell him that.

There were two court cases where Drew perjured himself in court in two other cases—but wasn’t caught or charged.

However, Martin’s niece, Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening), wrote a viral exposé based on information from Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota), and Martin knows Drew’s denying that he knew he was being dosed with a paralytic.

He also knows from talking with other attorneys in town that Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) thinks he was framed, and he finds out Drew lied for him on the stand—and blackmails him with it!

With Drew and Ava facing mounting trouble, Martin may have plenty of leverage to use.

Martin will confront Drew with his lies about the paralytic and the perjury on the stand in Curtis’ trial, and try to blackmail him into giving Valentin and Carly an alibi!

After all, if he’ll lie on the stand for Curtis about Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) in regard to his and Jordan Ashford’s (Tanisha Harper), why not lie and give Valentin and Carly an alibi since it’s known they were all in the Metro Court at the time?

As it turns out, he may not have to after all if Tristan Roberts (Dean Geyer) successfully convinces Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) that he arrested the wrong people!

By the end of the week, Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) will bend some rules for Dante.

Might it be about tracing the prescription for that sleeping pill found in Brennan’s tox screen?

With police preparing to examine new evidence, Drew may find himself under even more pressure.

Martin could have plenty of ammunition against Drew if he can prove those courtroom lies. Will Drew finally face some consequences, or will he find another way out?
