His life was far too messy as a three-times-divorced attorney dishing out alimony payments and dodging his connection to his brother, renounced mobster Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober). He kept to himself when he came to Port Charles for good reason.

But Lucy wormed her way into his heart, and now it’s going to break them both as the truth he’s been hiding comes out and devastated their once-happy union.

Lucky for Lucy, she knows the secret to getting over one man is by climbing on top of another one. Will Jackson ‘Jack’ Montgomery (Walt Willey) fit the bill?

Whether it’s Blair Cramer (Kassie DePaiva) coming over from Llanview, Erica Kane (Susan Lucci) headed out of Pine Valley, or someone else entirely, rumor has it Marty’s “ex” is going to find herself in Port Charles soon.

When she does, Lucy may be stunned to find she’s been entertaining a married man all of this time.

What possible good reason could Marty have for lying about his three divorces and pretending to be single when he has a Mrs in another city?

GH Spoilers – Hint He And Jack Montgomery Go Way Back

When Lucy revealed the truth about her trip to Pine Valley to Marty, and name-dropped Jack, we didn’t see much of a reaction.

Honestly, Marty seemed more concerned with Lucy’s erratic and unlawful behavior than he was with whoever the target of her operation was.

Sure, he knows Jack. He didn’t say how though, and that may have been every bit as intentional as why he never mentioned he was married.

Furthermore, his absence and backpedaling out of helping Lucy with the Deception case in court only adds to the theory that he may be trying to dodge Jack.

General Hospital Spoilers — Lucky In Love

It’s entirely possible that Jack is a tie that binds Marty to his current wife. The last thing he needs is for Lucy to find out the truth he’s been hiding since they met.

But word on the street is she’s going to anyway, and she just may find some comfort in Jack’s arms — ahem, and broad shoulders.

It would be the cherry on top if Erica is at the center of this and Jack and Marty were depicted as having fought over her in the past, only to find themselves in a rematch with Lucy now.
