General Hospital Spoilers – Maurice Benard Stars In Equal Standard
Maurice Benard stars as a police captain in the VOD film Equal Standard. The film was directed by Brendan Kyle Cochrane while the script was penned by producer Taheim Bryan.
This unique cop film is set in New York City and involves race and rank, loss, and betrayal as a cop is shot by one of his own. NYPD Detective Chris Jones is played by Tobias Truvillion (One Life to Live), who is shot during a fight outside a local bodega.
The shooting leads to tensions rising between the cops and the communities they are sworn to protect. An impasse arises among the minority groups living in New York City who are fighting for justice. This is a world where persecution relating to skin color exists, while the fight for equal opportunity is impossible. As the battle continues in the film, the outcome will be determined, where life or death are the only available options.
