General Hospital Spoilers: Maxie Grows More Suspicious of Peter, Starts To Snoop For Damaging Info

General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) is exhausting every possibility in his efforts to clear Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) of the murder charges she is currently facing. And while it is true that Sam shot David Henry Archer, aka Shiloh (Coby Ryan McLaughlin), in the back with a flare gun; it was done in self-defense because Shiloh was about to kill Jason.

But Peter August (Wes Ramsey) has framed Sam to make it look like it was a pre-meditated act rather than self-defense. Peter doesn’t want his own involvement with Shiloh to come to light, namely that Shiloh was blackmailing Peter with the information that Peter was a willing co-conspirator with Helena Cassadine (Constance Towers) to kidnap Drew Cain (Billy Miller) as part of the ongoing memory mapping experiments.

With the assistance of Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson), Jason and Sam already know that Peter was involved, they just don’t have any proof. Peter had hired Bryce Henderson (Brian Goss) to kill Andre Maddox (Anthony Montgomery) and Drew.

General Hospital Spoilers – Andre Maddox Was Able To Identify Attacker

While Bryce was successful in getting Drew’s plane to go down, Andre survived Bryce’s attack and was able to identify him. Peter then hired Bryce to free Shiloh from police custody and kill him. Bryce succeeded in freeing Shiloh, but the former cult leader escaped.

Later when Bryce was arrested, Peter had Bryce lie and say that it was Sam that had hired him. Jason later visited Bryce who all but admitted that is Peter, not Sam that hired him. Unfortunately, Bryce was murdered by Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom) before he could make a statement.

Now that Bryce is dead, Peter thinks he is mostly in the clear. His only concern now is that Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) will undergo the memory mapping reversal procedure done by Andre. One possible outcome of this procedure is that the Drew Cain memories could intensity, and Peter is worried that Franco will remember his part in Drew’s kidnapping in 2012.

General Hospital Spoilers – Peter August Thinks He’s In The Clear

But his interest in Franco has not gone unnoticed by Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms). Peter explained it away by saying that Franco’s is newsworthy. But Maxie’s suspicions don’t end there. Viewers will recall that when Maxie found out that Peter had withdrawn a large amount of cash, he lied and told her that it was for a deposit on a condo down by the Dock. Truthfully the money for Shiloh to leave town.

Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) informed Peter that the Condo was available again. But Peter told her in front of Maxie that now he unsure if he wanted the condo. This further confused Maxie because Peter had told her that he wanted to get a place for them both, as well as her kids. If he wanted the condo to make that happen, why was he suddenly changing his mind? Maxie is smart and no stranger to telling lies herself, so her suspicions will continue to grow. And when Maxie is suspicious, she snoops! Look for her to contact Spinelli, who will begrudgingly tell his ex that they think that Peter is responsible for framing Sam.

Maxie will be unconvinced at first, but doubt will start to creep in. She may listen in a conversation between Peter and the attorney he hired for Bryce during which he admits to framing Sam. But Maxie loves Peter, so what will she do with the information? Will she confront Peter or go straight to Jason or the authorities?
