General Hospital Spoilers: Michael Is The New Sonny And Dex And Joss Are The New Jason And Courtney

General Hospital Spoilers taunt Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) spent more than a year targeting his father as enemy number one. Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) had no idea his own son was working against him, having hired Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) to help him do it.

The plan: take down Sonny and throw him behind bars for the rest of his life. It was only when Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) found out what Michael was up to that she convinced him to pox all of his plans.

Following that, it was only when Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) found out what Michael had been up to that she convinced him to stay on board, not working against his father, but rather, for him.

Did Michael just covertly enter the mob? It sure sounds like it. Fans are abuzz with theories that this is how Sonny will finally segue out of the business — and potentially out of Port Charles. Is Michael being teed up to be the new Sonny? And if so, is Dex slated to be the new Jason Morgan (Steve Burton)?

General Hospital Spoilers — Was Done With His Father’s Business

Michael was ready to be done with this revenge business. Fighting against his father — even covertly — had really taken its toll on him over the last year. Coupled with supporting his wife as she battled stage four leukemia, Michael really needed a break.

But the mob is unrelenting, and he has to step up to the plate to protect his family. That’s what Carly said, right? And mother always knows best in this family. Is Michael unknowingly signing up to take over his father’s criminal family empire someday?

Although Michael bailed on their revenge plan, Dex wasn’t ready to give up the mob. Josslyn ‘Joss’ Jacks (Eden McCoy) tried her hardest to convince him that this life wasn’t for him, but what can we say?

The guy likes being paid. He’s not going to trade his job as Sonny’s right-hand man — which he secretly loves the thrill of — to be a doorman at the Metro Court. Jos would respect him more if he was making less money and working for an honest wage, but she’s not going to make decisions for him.

Now, the whole plan has been turned upside down as Dex is now being paid as a bit of a double agent again, but this time it’s working in Sonny’s favor. But would Sonny think of it that way? Dex seems to know exactly what he’s getting himself into, and he’s here for it. There’s nothing he wants more than to be the next Jason.

General Hospital Spoilers — Joss Jacks Was Never Quite Comfortable With This

At first, fans were curious whether Joss would be painted as the next Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco). Suffice it to say, few see her that way. Joss is working hard to reform her good-girl reputation, but she is still a bit too saccharine-sweet to be compared to the likes of a former con artist turned private investigator.

Joss is going into pre-med. She wants to save lives, not upend — or end — them. This has led fans to look at her more like the new Courtney Matthews (Alicia Leigh Willis) than another Sam.
