King Charles Totally Blindsided Prince William With This Surprising Move

Who knows you more than a child, ay? And yet not even Prince William – son and heir to King Charles – was able to predict what songs the old man would include in his newly launched playlist.

King pa who? This monarch seemingly loves to jam out like the rest of us. Huh. Who’d have thought. Not William that’s for sure.

Prince William Opens Up About His Father’s Taste In Music During Mentivity House Visit

Have you listened to the songs on King Charles’ Apple Music playlist, titled The King’s Music Room?

Well, if you have maybe your opinions about the monarch’s taste in music may reflect William’s.

It’s not a new thing that William could totally charm any room he’s in, and it was no different during his Mentivity House visit, where he got to play video games with some young people.

All in all, the atmosphere was such a friendly one that talks soon turned to private matters, like the King’s playlist.

“I was expecting a lot of classical music, so I was surprised,” William said candidly of the playlist, which showed the King’s wide taste in different types of music and genres, from dancefloor Queen Kylie Minogue to reggae legend Bob Marley and Grace Jones.

William revealed this after he was grilled on whether the King also enjoyed some “Garage and UK Funky” tracks. To this question, William quickly replied, “I’m not sure he’d know what that was.”

William’s visit to Mentivity House received a lot of coverage online, not just because he played Mario Kart with local schoolchildren.

He was arriving at the venue with Mentivity founder Sayce Holmes-Lewis, who guided the Prince through the streets of the estate where he himself had grown up, when local resident Oluwaseyi Soyebo-Idowu sighted the future king and made a big fuss over him.

She reportedly exclaimed, “Let me give you a hug. I see a Prince! A King of England!”

William’s Mentivity House outing happened before he traveled to The Vatican to join other world leaders in taking part in Pope Francis’ funeral on Saturday, April 27.
