Who is Nathan Varni

GH Spoilers: Unexpected Announcement
On Twitter and Facebook, Varni announced the change. It seems that it was an unexpected announcement, not just for fans but for cast members as well. In his Twitter post, Varni wrote,
“I share bittersweet news that I am no longer overseeing General Hospital for ABC’s programming department… I have learned so much from you all, and can’t accurately describe how much I appreciate and admire your collective loyalty to the show. Still in Charge of Other ABC TV Shows
General Hospital spoilers reveal that while he will not be overseeing the ABC soap any longer, he has not left the network. He will still be working on Grey’s Anatomy and The Connors. He also announced working on a new scripted TV series called The Baker and the Beauty, which premieres on Monday, Apri 13.
General Hospital Spoilers: Not Without Controversy
Many fans, cast, and crew members wished him well and were sad to see him go. However, that doesn’t mean he was without controversy. According to She Knows, he got in some muddled waters in 2016 over discussing an actor’s contract.
That actor was Rebecca Herbst, who plays Elizabeth Webber. At the time, she was only being considered as the new Abigail DiMera, who has been played by Kate Mansi off-and-on for many years. Of course, the recast didn’t happen and Herbst is still on the show today.
What do you think of Nathan Varni announcing he is no longer overseeing General Hospital for ABC? Who do you think should fill his shoes? So far, there has been no indication of who could replace Varni, but we will surely hear something soon when an official statement is released.
