General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that while Spencer Cassadine has been presumed dead, fans know that actor Nicholas Chavez is simply on hiatus from the soap, filming a Netflix series, Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story.

Still, a recent move from the young actor has everyone wondering if Spence will return to Port Charles, or if the role might be recast.

According to reports, Chavez still has time left on his GH contract and negotiated a temporary exit so he could work on the Netflix project.

As Spencer is presumed dead, he could remain dead, if Nicholas decides not to return to the daytime drama, or another actor could be recast into the role. The door has been left open for Spencer’s return to some capacity.

Still, the biggest reason why there are so many question marks around Nicholas’s comeback, which seemed to be a “given” at the time of Spencer’s so-called death, is because of a move the actor recently made on social media.

GH Spoilers – Fans Question Nicholas Chavez’s Return, Due To His Social Media Handles

Nicholas Chavez did something shocking recently, by unfollowing most GH-related accounts on the social media platform, X. This includes his soap co-stars. The only GH-ish account that he follows now is the show’s Executive Producer, Frank Valentini.

In fact, Nicholas currently only follows three accounts on X, Valentini’s, as well as Netflix, and Ryan Murphy Productions. The move has had fans buzzing with speculation, as well as Chavez’s future with the show.

Still, many actors/actresses on social media tend to follow only select accounts, so maybe this is all part of a move to alter his image. Then again, it could mean that Nicholas is on his way out as Spencer.

With that being said, keeping Valentini as an account he follows also means that he’s still interested in what the GH exec is posting, so, only time will tell.
