According to Marcus Coloma, Nikolas Cassadine may be married to Ava Jerome, but he could still be thinking about Liz Webber.

The latest General Hospital spoilers are pointing to Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) and his relationships. Despite his marriage to Ava Jerome, it is believed Nikolas still has Liz Webber (Rebecca Herbst) firmly on his mind.

Marcus Coloma has recently taken over the role of Nikolas Cassadine and he spoke about working with Rebecca Herbst. He did hint that the former couple’s relationship, both past and possibly future, was complicated.

What Marcus recently told Soap Opera Digest was that it had been nothing but a dream working with Rebecca. He said she was an “easy, cute, charming, warm person” and that he has really enjoyed working with her. Coloma said the relationship felt like a “different world” for him. He then spoke about Nikolas’ relationship with Jax and Laura, saying it was a tribute to the writers of the soap and the “amazing relationships” the writers have created for every character on General Hospital.

Before Marcus took over the role, he did extensive research to ensure he could give Nikolas Cassadine fans all they would expect from him and more. It was then that he said there was more to tell on the story of Nikolas and Liz, hinting that it might not yet be completely over.

GH Spoilers – History between Nikolas Cassadine and Liz Webber

In the interview, Marcus went on to note the amazing history between the two characters and how much they have both suffered. He especially referred to what he found to be a “really rough storyline” between Nikolas, Elizabeth, and Lucky.

Coloma went on to say he has experienced the same, where you have feelings for someone you shouldn’t and understands the struggle behind it all. In the case of Nikolas and Elizabeth, Marcus said that even though time has gone by, she is still one of Nikolas’ best friends in the world. He mentioned that during his first scenes with Rebecca, he really enjoyed and appreciated the “warmth and friendliness and ease” she has about her.
