General Hospital Spoilers: Nikolas Fakes His Own Fiery Death, Again — What Does This Mean for His Family?

General Hospital spoilers reveal Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) has just suffered a tragedy, again. The first time Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) tumbled off the parapet of his castle, it was during a dispute with his wife, Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West). Now, Esme has just voluntarily leapt off the parapet to her possible death.

There’s no way Nik is going to track her down, just like there was no way he could last time. How is he going to find his way out of this? This time, Esme isn’t going to come back to him — not after he’s held her hostage since she last showed up. He needs a way out of this mess, and the fire Esme started to get herself released from the north tower is going to be the fastest way he sees it happening.

General Hospital Spoilers — Esme Price Left Nik Cassadine A Way Out

We should’ve seen this coming. Nikolas was just talking to his mother, Laura Collins (Genie Francis), about how much of a mess he had made of his life and everyone else’s. He even said he thought he should’ve stayed dead, referencing his past choice to let his whole family — including his son, Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) — think he was dead for four long years. Of course, Laura vehemently disagreed with that assertion.

But the thought won’t be far from Nikolas’ mind when he is standing alone on that parapet and wondering what he’s supposed to do now that Esme just fell to her possible death. What if her body turns up this time and she and the baby have perished — a baby whose DNA matches his? On the contrary, what if Esme turns up alive? Nikolas can’t take the chance of going to jail, so he just may use the fire as his escape and once again pretend he perished.

GH Spoilers – Hint Esme Price Is Alive

Nikolas might pretend that he didn’t survive that fire, but Esme is going to survive her fall. When she finds out Nikolas has “died,” will she question whether or not it’s true, or will she assume he faked his death because she saw him on the parapet before she leapt into the icy waters below? It’s possible he could have gone back inside and been engulfed in flames with no way to exit the castle. Either way, if Esme believes he’s out of the way, she might move to claim some of that estate he leaves behind for her child. Watch out, Spencer!

Speaking of Spencer, he’s going to be without a father, again. Moreover, he’s going to be without a father who said horrible things to him and affirmed wanting distance between them right before he “died.” Laura is going to be left without a son eerily right after he told her he should have stayed dead.

It won’t make sense to anyone why there was a Christmas tree in the north tower in the first place, which was supposedly being renovated yet there won’t be any sign of such construction being underway. The PCPD are likely to leave Spoon Island with more questions than ever. Will Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) have to answer any of them, or will Esme keep her secret in trade for continued prenatal care on the down low?
