General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that with all that is going on in the land of Port Charles right now, there’s a good chance that Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss) could finally make a major return to the little town.

One major task on his “to-do” list when he gets back is gaining access to his son, Ace Cassadine (Jay and Joey Clay). Will Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) do something drastic to stop this?

General Hospital Spoilers – Spencer Cassadine’s Need To Protect His Baby Brother

GH spoilers imply that Spence has an unhealthy unwavering need to protect his little brother. In fact, this has caused issues in his relationship with Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali).

As Spencer has been acting more like a father than a brother to Ace, thus spending an absorbent amount of time with the baby’s mother, (and his ex) Esme Prince (Avery Pohl), Trina has had a problem with her boyfriend’s need to be more like a father to Ace than an older brother.

The underlying reason behind this is that he doesn’t want Ace to feel as abandoned as he was by their father and is overcompensating.

Still, if Nik were to return and want custody of the baby, would Spencer take extreme measures to keep Ace from their dad?

GH Spoilers – The Austin Gatlin-Holt Factor

The reason behind the buzz of Nikolas returning has much to do with Austin Gatlin-Holt’s (Roger Howarth) murder.

Austin knew who was behind that gun because of how he acknowledged the shooter when he walked into his home.

This has led to massive speculation that Nik was the person who killed Austin, and he may also be the person antagonizing his ex-wife, Ava Jerome (Maura West).

This likely means that Nikolas could return at some point soon. Not necessarily because he is Austin’s killer, but it’ll increase the intrigue around this “who dun it” storyline.

As such, this means conflict will arise between him, Esme, and Spencer, which may prompt the two exes to do something extreme to keep Ace away from his biological father.
