General Hospital Spoilers: Nina Realizes Nelle Is Conning Her – Switches Sides and Testifies For Michael?

ABC General Hospital spoilers and updates suggest that Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) could end up betraying Nelle Benson’s (Chloe Lanier) trust. GH fans know that recently, Nina took the stand in the court hearing that will determine whether Nelle Benson or Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) gains custody of Wiley Cooper-Jones (Erik and Theo Olson).

General Hospital Spoilers – Nina Supports Nelle

Gh fans know that before the appointed court hearing to determine who would gain custody of little Wiley, Nelle Benson basically ambushed Nina in her office and emotionally blackmailed her into agreeing to testify as a character witness on her behalf. Despite the emotional manipulation, viewers know that Nina was already waffling back and forth on how she really felt concerning Nelle and her situation. Thus, Nelle may not have had to push quite as hard as she did to get Nina on her side. Nina was already halfway there.

Once Nina made up her mind that Nelle was simply misunderstood and basically projected her own emotions and life story onto Nelle, GH viewers saw Nina begin to defend Nelle and her past to any and all comers. Nina defended Nelle to Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) and also to her lover, Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher). With all of that in mind, there are many GH fans who expect that Nina will simply carry on with her recent support of Nelle.

General Hospital Spoilers – Nina Changes Her Mind

Now, GH fans know that Nina has a record of mental instability. While Nina has come a long way and has changed a lot since she first woke from a coma, she’s still struggled. GH fans have watched as Nina continues to sit and brood in her office. How many times has someone interrupted Nina as she sits staring off into space with her half-locket draped over her fingers?

Nina is continuously obsessed and preoccupied, haunted really, by the specter of her long-lost child. Because of those persistent thoughts, many have put forth the idea that Nina places emotional importance on people and situations that others would not.

Many believe that Nina may even suspect that Nelle could indeed be her long lost daughter. If that’s the case, then it’s no wonder she’s defended Nelle tooth and nail. However, with that said, Nina has watched Nelle do some crazy stuff recently such as marrying Julian Jerome (William deVry) rather willy nilly. Nina may not agree with the direction Nelle has taken or with her tactics. If Nina is able to break through the fog of deception Nelle has blown her way, Nina choosing to support Michael Corinthos at the last minute just might surprise viewers.

General Hospital Spoilers – Nina Destroys Nelle in Court

As a character witness in Michael and Nelle’s custody case, Nina won’t be able to speak to much outside of Nelle’s good conduct at work. It’s true that Nelle has been more than competent at her job at Crimson and has been an asset to Nina’s operations there. However, if Nina refuses to sing Nelle’s praises outside of her job performance, then she won’t be that much of an ace in the hole for Nelle.

In other words, Nina won’t have to say bad things about Nelle. All Nina needs to do is refuse to sing Nelle’s praises. If nothing else, Nina will retain the friendship of Carly, Michael, and the Quartermaines and as viewers know, that’s nothing to sneeze at!
