GH Spoilers – This Has Been An Emotional Ride

General Hospital writers have certainly tugged at everyone’s emotions with this story. Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Mike have had some very emotional scenes so far. However, more of these scenes are on the way. Sonny feels so guilty for not forgiving his father sooner and it shows. Sonny doesn’t want to let go of his father and is looking for any way possible to keep him.

Sonny is further tortured by the fact that Mike missed the last-ditch trial that could have helped him. Sonny blames himself for the attack that Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) launched against him. If Sonny had not been a target for Cyrus, Mike would not have missed his appointment. Will this cause Sonny to retaliate later?

General Hospital’s Mike loves his family, however, Mike knows it is time to go. Mike still has some lucid moments left although they are few and far between. Perhaps Mike and Sonny will discuss Mike’s wants at some point. Mike has already stopped eating and seems to just want to give up. Will Mike convince Sonny to let him go instead of trying to prolong his life with extreme measures? Will Mike be able to communicate to Sonny that he doesn’t want a feeding tube or anything else that will make him suffer longer? Perhaps Mike will even convince Sonny that he’s ready to be reunited with Sonny’s mother in the afterlife.

General Hospital’s Sonny has begged his father to tell him what to do. Perhaps fans will see these scenes and feel the emotional connection between the two of them. Fans hate to say goodbye to Mike, he’s been around almost as long as Sonny has off and on. However, the expected upcoming scenes are sure to be tearjerkers. Fans want an emotional ending and Max and Maurice are not likely to disappoint.
