General Hospital Spoilers: Peter Shocks Elizabeth, Wants To Take The Blame For Franco’s Murder

General Hospital spoilers tease that in Port Charles, NY Peter August (Wes Ramsey) will “confess” to Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) in Monday’s General Hospital Sneak Peek.

General Hospital Spoilers – Peter August Approaches The Nurses’ Station

Peter approaches Elizabeth at the Nurses’ Station at General Hospital, and offers his condolences on Franco Baldwin’s (Roger Howarth) death. Peter tells her he is so sorry about Franco’s death, appearing to be sincere. However, Elizabeth blows him off, and tells him she doesn’t want to hear it! She proceeds to give him the exit speech as she tells him unless he is either a patient or visiting a patient, or unless he has hospital business, she’s going to have to ask him to leave! Peter is not that easily deterred – he pleads with her, and asks her please, referring to her as “Elizabeth”. Elizabeth retorts it’s still Mrs. Baldwin – please!

However, she soon does a double take and turns around to face him when he asks her to let him take the blame for Franco’s death! Of course, it is highly unlikely that Peter is confessing to Franco’s murder – but he did publish that exposé about Franco’s brain tumor returning in his newspaper, “The Invader” that could have put multiple targets on Franco’s back! It is more likely that is what Peter blames – publishing the article itself. General Hospital viewers will recall that is exactly why Peter published it – it gave him an excellent cover for a murder he planned to commit anyway if Franco brought up the wrong memories of Drew Cain’s (Billy Miller)!

GH Spoilers – Elizabeth Baldwin Will Likely Tear Peter August To Bits Verbally

Peter likely apologizes for publishing the article that he says likely led to Franco’s death, even though he knows that Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) is sitting in jail for it! Peter of course is simply trying to avert suspicion away from himself as he talks about feeling responsible for Franco’s being murdered because of publishing the exposé.

Peter also plays dumb about knowing that Jason Morgan is in jail as the prime suspect in the murder of Franco Baldwin, partially because of Elizabeth herself. General Hospital viewers will recall that she told Police Commissioner Jordan Ashford (Briana Nicole Henry) about Franco’s “deal” with Jason to kill him if he were to turn violent, even though Jason actually never told Franco yes or no.

Franco had been worried about turning violent when Cameron Webber (William Lipton) startled him out of a nightmare and he reacted with grabbing Cameron’s neck which is why he moved out. He had intended to put himself in Shadybrook the next day but didn’t live to do so. Instead, after finally listening to the message left for him on a cell phone from before Drew’s memories were removed, from himself as Drew, he became angered at Peter and did become violent – towards Peter, but even that was for the purposes of scaring the truth out of him! When Elizabeth hears Peter’s apology for the article, she will likely tear him to bits verbally for publishing it and also for violating HIPAA laws in getting Franco’s medical records!
