General Hospital  spoilers and updates tease that the prison beatdown that happened in Pentonville this week might be the beatdown that causes a breakup! Will this be the end of Justine Turner (Nazneen Contractor) and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard)?

Sonny Takes the Blame

General Hospital spoilers tease that Sonny will be blamed for the beatdown that Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) and Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) got and even Dante Falconeri’s (Dominic Zamprogna) suspicious!

In the preview for the episode of Monday, September 28 Dante is seen in the hospital, telling Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) that Sonny might be behind it!

That’s because Sonny has a two-faced friend named Vito, (uncredited) who set up the beating of Sidwell, although he warned Curtis to not be in his cell at lunchtime.

Curtis jumped in to help-but as to who arranged this with Vito could be either Sidwell himself or possibly Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison).

That would track with Curtis getting the warning, since if Sidwell himself set it up, it would  make no sense to have the man who tried to save him be attacked!

Will Justine Believe Sonny?

Justine will find out about this prison beating very soon, and find out that this Vito is an associate of Sonny’s-not only  that, but Sonny had called and given him a message.

That happened when he and Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) were strategizing last week, and Ric questioned it too. Sonny said Vito was the go between in Pentonville who kept certain incarcerated friends of his safe, who had families at home.

But now Justine will get this information with evidence-possibly faked-about Sonny being behind the prison beating.

With Sidwell, this could  make some sense-but with Curtis, he’s just collateral damage, having jumped in to try and save Sidwell.

A Breakup Could Be Coming

If Justine doesn’t believe Sonny, that he didn’t set up for Sidwell to be beaten, since he’s been wanting revenge on him, then it will be the end of Sonny and Justine!

There’s a big clue in  her conversation with him in Friday, September 25th’s episode, when she used the words, “If I can believe you!” concerning his leaving the mob.  

There will be little that Sonny can do to prove he’s not behind it, if Vito is double dealing and double crossing him.

Every indication  will be that Sonny arranged the beating through Vito, and whoever really arranged it-be that Sidwell or Drew, who also wants to take Sonny down-might make Vito disappear!  And once, again, even though Sonny has left the mob, has the mob really left him?
