General Hospital Spoilers: The Return Of Nikolas Impacts Baldwin Family In Unexpected Way - Is Aiden His Son After All?General Hospital spoilers tease that the return of Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) will impact the Baldwin family in an unexpected way; could Aiden Spencer (Jason David) be his son after all?

General Hospital Spoilers – There Was A Question About Aiden Spencer’s Paternity When He Was Born

Long-time General Hospital viewers will recall that there was a question about Aiden’s paternity when he was born; Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) at that time was sleeping with both Lucky Spencer (Jonathan Jackson) and Nikolas at the same time! Wow! Playing two half-brothers against each other was certainly not a way to promote family unity, was it?!

Elizabeth had a paternity test done, and at the time it showed Lucky, but when you have two siblings or even two half-siblings as potential fathers, it can get tricky! Depending on how the test was done and how many genetic markers the lab looked for, it is possible that there could have been a false positive result and Nikolas could be Aiden’s father after all!

In addition, Helena Cassadine (Constance Towers) had been involved in altering the test to show that Nikolas was the father, and had actually planned to kidnap the baby and raise him as the Cassadine heir; which would have been a tad difficult considering Spencer Cassadine (Nicolas Bechtel) is older than Aiden, but then Stavros Cassadine (Robert Kelker-Kelly) was alive but ill at that time and she wanted to give him another grandchild to give him something to live for! Nikolas was in the delivery room when Elizabeth gave birth to Aiden.

Ironically, Franco Baldwin (then played by James Franco) kidnapped Aiden out of the nursery and took him to Oregon and gave him to his mother, Betsy Frank (then played by Betsy Franco) at that time going by a pseudonym of “Karen Anderson”. Jason Morgan (Steve Burton), Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) and Lucky all are involved to some extent in tracking down Franco with the help of Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) but it is Lucky who brings him back to Elizabeth, just like he brought back Jake Spencer (Hudson West) from Cassadine Island many years later.

GH Spoilers – Aiden Spencer Is Currently Visiting With Lucky Spencer In Ireland

Aiden is currently visiting with Lucky in Ireland, and Lucky may bring him back and return to Port Charles at least temporarily, and Nikolas will be revealed alive to his family and remainder of his friends soon. Will something happen that causes Aiden’s paternity to once again be questioned?

Lucky adopted all three of Elizabeth’s boys when they were married, so he will always be their legal dad unless Elizabeth decides she wants Franco to adopt them. There wouldn’t be any paternity questions revisited if that were the reason, although Franco is perfectly content to be stepdad – it’s doubtful that Franco and Lucky would ever get into any kind of a fight over the boys anyway as long as Lucky is in Ireland.

There is a possibility that paternity tests would have to be re-done for one disturbing reason; if Aiden fell ill or was injured seriously enough to either require a blood transfusion and his is a rare blood type or would need a bone marrow transplant and Lucky and others in the Spencer family were not a donor match!

Of course, Elizabeth and Aiden’s brothers would be tested also before retesting the paternity with Nikolas! And if Nikolas found out he was really Aiden’s father, there would be a custody fight because Nikolas would not accept Franco as a suitable parent based on past history!

      He’s not blood, but Franco has been more of a father to Liz’s boys than any of her former lovers and husbands. I’d like to see Cam step up and get Jason to come to some sort of peace with Franco. Given how talented the 3 actors are, it should be amazing to watch.

      If Alden need a blood transfusion Lu lu will be able to give it to him, because Nicholas gave her his when she fell sick, does anybody remember that?

      There are way too many characters on this program. I have only been watching this soap for about a year and it is so confusing and difficult to fallow who’s who and what’s their storyline.

      All I want is for general hospital to do is stop bringing back people who are supposed to be dead, no more Helenia, and dont prolong the story lines for six months. The show is getting boring and this is how you’re losing your fan. No more crazy lines, more love stories.
