General Hospital spoilers and updates reveals when Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) woke from her post-surgical coma after being gruesomely attacked by The Hook, she was relieved to see Robert Scorpio’s (Tristan Rogers) face looking back at her. These two characters have crossed paths for years in the interrogation room and the courthouse. While not strangers, Diane and Robert have never really spent time with one another as colleagues outside of work, let alone as friends or anything more. That’s about to change.

In fact, she’s a lot like him. The attention Robert starts giving Diane and the case is going to catch the eye of someone who knows him all too well: Anna Devane (Finola Hughes). Will Anna step in to give Robert a reality check? Does he need someone to give him permission to move on with his life in Holly Sutton’s (Emma Samms) absence?

We’ve only seen Diane entertain one love interest on GH, and that was Max Giambetti (Derk Cheetwood). Fans loved the playful nature this couple brought to the screen and the way Max’s laidback attitude mellowed Diane out. We want to see her laugh like that again! The relationship between Max — one of Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) enforcers — and Diane started all the way back in 2007 and lasted for four years before fizzling out after Diane confronted Max about cheating.
