General Hospital (GH) spoilers and rumors tease that Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) could have hidden Drew Cain’s (Billy Miller) phone with his message about Peter August (Wes Ramsey) in his art studio. This would be a failsafe in case Franco didn’t make it out alive from his confrontation with Peter, which unfortunately was the case in a recent episode of General Hospital. A mysterious painting of a skull could be seen as Franco’s body was taken away.
General Hospital Spoilers – A Skull Doesn’t Seem Like Something Franco Baldwin Would Have Painted Recently
A skull doesn’t seem like something Franco would have painted recently, even for Halloween so this could be an old painting. He may have even pulled it out for the shock value to Peter when he had him tied up to a chair! General Hospital viewers will remember that Franco wanted Peter to think he had returned to the evil Franco that Peter had portrayed him as possibly doing because of his new brain tumor, which Peter had published an exposé.
This put many potential targets on Peter’s back, but it could also be a cover for Peter, who may have planned to kill Franco all along because of Drew’s Afghanistan memories coming up in his brain. After all, that wasn’t the first time he tried to kill Franco. He had hired that hit man, David Black (Lon Gowan) to kill both him and Andre Maddox (Anthony Montgomery) in the General Hospital operating room where he was preparing to remove Drew’s memories and hopefully uncover Franco.
Recent General Hospital events have shown that there were probably several layers of memories, since Franco had more recently been exhibiting more of Drew’s and in particular regarding Peter! Therefore, in Peter’s mind, Franco had again become a threat, and if there were many potential attackers who wanted Franco gone, it would draw attention away from him!
General Hospital spoilers show Franco unfortunately provided one of those persons of interest himself, when he asked Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) to kill him if he became a danger, and that is why Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) accused Jason.
GH Spoilers & Rumors – Jason Morgan Will Be Taken Off The Persons Of Interest List, But Franco Baldwin May Have Hidden Drew Cain’s Phone
General Hospital viewers will recall that Drew’s phone is likely Franco’s old phone that he had when the memory transfer turned him into Drew in his mind. The real Drew’s phone probably went down with him in the plane. When the memory transfer was done, the real Drew was still alive and he may have been able to learn his old memories from “Frankendrew” although it wasn’t shown on screen in a particular scene. This is what made the real Drew a danger for Peter, although Drew’s focus was more on Shiloh Archer (Coby Ryan McLaughlin) at the time.
Drew was more interested in getting the stolen money he found in the car that his son Oscar Nero (Garren Lake Stitt) bequeathed to Cameron Webber (William Lipton) back to the people it belonged to in Afghanistan and that’s where he was headed when Peter had his plane sabotaged. When Franco was on the gurney with the paramedics around him, after Elizabeth, Jason, and Port Charles Police Commissioner Jordan Ashford (Briana Nicole Henry) left, Cameron tried to call Franco and his phone rang in his pocket.
But what of the old phone, where Franco as Drew left that message as “Andy”, his childhood name, even though he called Franco “Franco” and not “Bobby”. What could have happened to it? Franco could have left it in his hotel room but on the other hand he could also have taken it with him when he went after Peter. Observant General Hospital viewers will have noticed the cameras focusing in on that skull painting as the paramedics rolled Franco out of the art studio.

Port Charles crime scene technicians were already combing the room as the paramedics had loaded Franco’s body on the gurney. But if they miss his painting or decide it was of no evidentiary value, then his old friend Ava Cassadine (Maura West) who is handling his arrangements will probably get the painting.
While there was an easel set up with a canvas, and plenty of paint and other art supplies including a body mannequin in the studio, it appeared that the painting of the skull was the only painting. If anyone could think to look inside the frame of a painting for a message or a phone, or something else, it would be Ava! Franco could have even called her before leaving his room to go after Peter to look in that painting if something happened to him!

Yes! Maybe he bugged the room AND recorded it on the phone!
Iam sure that phone is hiding in plain sight, and the PCPD are too inept to do a good crime scene investigation
If the PCPD is in charge of the investigation we know it will be screwed up royally!
