In December of 2021, Sasha lost her son, Liam Mike Corbin after his surprise birth due to a placental abruption that caused baby Liam to go without oxygen for too long. The months that followed pushed Sasha into a tailspin. She would come to lose her grip on her business, and on reality. Ultimately, she has now been blindsided by the loss of her husband, Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor). However, while Brando’s time may have come to a close in Port Charles, Sasha’s story is far from over. Will she find a reason to go on?

It wouldn’t be outside of the norm for Sasha to seek solace in a comfortable place on General Hospital. Others’ misfortunes will be of comfort to her during this time. Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) lost her daughter, Lila McCall Morgan. Sam has also lost her husband — twice — having suffered through the loss of both Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) and Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison). She might become a new friend to hold Sasha’s hand through her grief.

Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) also knows what it’s like to lose a child, as do Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) and Michael Corinthis (Chad Duell). However, Willow is likely to be preoccupied by her own troubles right now as she secretly battled leukemia without Michael knowing. As Sasha still grieves for the loss of her son and no longer has the support of her son’s father, Brando to help her through it, will she turn to ex-beau Michael? How will he reciprocate?

Might Michael still feel like he owes Sasha? The guilt he’s harbored since finding out Sasha was still in love with him and set him free for the betterment of his child may drive Michael to lend Sasha more than just a shoulder to cry on.

Of course, Michael and Willow are expecting a bundle of joy. The couple should be over the moon with happiness, but Willow has been keeping a secret from Michael, that she has leukemia, and it’s driven a wedge between them he doesn’t understand.

Likewise, Michael has been plotting against his father — Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Bernard) — and hasn’t clued Willow in on his deception either. Will the discomfort at home fuel Michael’s urge to open his arms — and his bed — to a grieving Sasha? Only time will tell.
