General Hospital spoilers and updates suggest that Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) might soon corner Laura Collins (Genie Francis).
A press conference is on the horizon that is expected to bring Willow Cain (Katelyn MacMullen) into the spotlight, leaving Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) questioning the situation.
Laura Intends To Recommend Alexis To Take Over Drew’s Term
Fans of GH are aware that Laura intends to recommend Alexis for the governor’s position to take over Drew Cain’s (Cameron Mathison) Congressional seat.
Initially, Alexis was doubtful about this proposal, but she ultimately came to the conclusion that she was prepared to accept the challenge. Nevertheless, Laura seems to overlook the fact that she no longer has control over her own decisions!
Sidwell has leverage over Laura as long as he possesses those incriminating photos of her with Professor Henry “Hank” Dalton’s (Daniel Goddard) body in her trunk. This is likely the reason why Sidwell is set to assert his authority in the episode airing on February 26.
Sidwell’s Going To Play Hardball With Someone, And It May Be Laura
Sidwell is gearing up to be tough on someone, making it easy to picture him throwing some threats at Laura. Since Sidwell prefers Willow to take over Drew’s congressional position, he might make that abundantly clear to Laura.
He could caution her about the repercussions of not adhering to his rules and emphasize his desire for a press conference as soon as possible. Indeed, a press conference is set to occur in that same episode, marking a significant day for Willow as well.
This could be the moment when Laura publicly endorses Willow to step into Drew’s congressional seat and complete his term.
Alexis May Be Blindsided When Laura Makes Her Announcement
General Hospital spoilers indicate that Alexis will encounter a surprise on February 26, potentially leaving her blindsided when Laura reveals Willow’s name instead of her own.
Alexis had been getting hopeful about the prospect of becoming Congresswoman Davis and making a positive impact, so she won’t understand why Laura suddenly changed direction.
How will Laura justify this when Alexis inevitably confronts her-will Laura fabricate a story about having a change of heart and deciding that Drew’s wife would be the more suitable candidate?
That’s one possibility, but it’s also feasible that Laura will choose to be partially honest and admit that this situation is out of her hands.
She might confess that her actions are aimed at protecting her loved ones and request Alexis to understand that she can’t divulge further details.

Chase needs his butt kicked and he needs to be fired. He’s such a sap. I was hoping even though Brooklyn and Chase want to adopt, I was hoping Brooklyn would get pregnant and their marriage would be on the rocks like Portia ( who I I can’t stand) and Curtis. What’s with the baby being Curtis’. It would be more interesting if it were Isaiah’s.
Even though Josslyn acts dopey, she makes her character work and it would be devastating to Carly whom I love. Don’t write her out.
Please don’t write Chase out. His stupidity and dishonesty
Is astounding and his arrogance is beyond belief, but he needs to stay because he helps storyline and helps with marriage woes with Brooklyn.
The storyline works because of the dynamics of each character; however, pursuing Michael is getting tired.
Maxie and Nathan need to go their separate ways. Spinelli needs more of a storyline as does Brooklyn’s Father.
Don’t take Josslyn, Chase, Willow, Sonny, Ava, Michael, Laura, Alexis, Jen’s out. Marco is iffy and Lucas needs more of a storyline. Trina needs help too because and Kai needs to go. Bring Spencer back as competition to Kai. That would be great. Change baby’s daddy for Portia.
I love writing these comments
