General Hospital Spoilers – Brad Cooper Is Nina Wu’s Nephew

After years of wondering exactly how Brad was related to the Wu crime family, it was finally revealed on a recent General Hospital episode that Nina Wu, (Lydia Look) the current head of the family is his aunt. She revealed to Sonny that Brad is her brother’s son, and he was given up for adoption. Legally, Brad is no longer a Wu, but by blood, he is. Ms. Wu had called Sonny for a meeting, and he had assumed it was Five Families business – well, four, without a representative for the Buscema family and Joey Novak (Patrick Zeller) having taken his late uncle Vince Novak’s (Glenn Taranto) place.

Sonny was surprised that although there was a brief mention of the Five Families where he and Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) thanked her for saving Carly and Jason Morgan’s (Steve Burton) lives by switching the limos after their wedding, that the private matter Ms. Wu wanted to talk to him about was Brad! General Hospital viewers will recall that it was Nina Wu who had found out Carly and Jason’s limo was rigged with a bomb and arranged for Vincent Novak and Charles Buscema (Bart Tangredi) to be in it instead.

GH Spoilers – Brad Cooper Was Half Responsible For The Baby Switch Regarding Wiley Corinthos

General Hospital viewers will recall that Brad was half responsible for the baby switch of Wiley Corinthos (Caleb and Kyler Ends) and Willow Tait’s (Katelyn MacMullen) baby with Shiloh Archer (Coby Ryan McLaughlin) who sadly died of sudden infant death syndrome a couple days old. We say “half responsible” because it wasn’t totally his idea. Nelle Benson, (Chloe Lanier) who had given birth to her and Michael Corinthos’ (Chad Duell) son Wiley the same night the original baby, who was known as Wiley Cooper-Jones died, was sitting with “Jonah” the name she gave her newborn on the side of the country road that Brad took, driving with the dead baby in the back seat.

General Hospital viewers will remember that Brad was so overwrought after it having taken so long for Lucas Jones (at that time Ryan Carnes) for approval to adopt a baby as a gay couple, he didn’t know what to do! What would Lucas say and how would he respond? Would he blame Brad for the baby’s death? Probably not, but those were the thoughts running through his mind that night when he stopped to give Nelle and baby “Jonah” a ride.

General Hospital Spoilers – Nelle Benson Took Advantage Of Brad Cooper’s Grief But Caused Michael Corinthos Unnecessary Pain

General Hospital viewers will remember that Nelle took advantage of Brad’s grief and gave him her live baby for his and Lucas’ dead one. But what happened afterwards, with Brad keeping the secret that the real Wiley had lived, went on for nearly two years and that’s on him! It didn’t help that Lucas is Michael’s uncle by adoption and therefore family. He is Carly Corinthos’ (Laura Wright) younger adopted brother, adopted as a baby so Lucas and Michael grew up as uncle and nephew.

When the truth came out nearly two years later, it ended Lucas and Brad’s marriage and relationship forever. The two of them had been involved in a car crash that gave Lucas a head injury and also amnesia, and Brad had told him the truth right before the crash. Months later, at a family gathering, Lucas got his memories back of that night – with Michael and the whole Corinthos family present – and remembered Brad’s confession! Now, with not only Michael, but his whole family suffering grief over the lie but Willow having to grieve her baby and Michael and Willow being together now, Michael’s not likely to NOT retaliate.

A condition of Ms. Wu in her conversation with Sonny was that not only Sonny, but Sonny’s FAMILY not retaliate against Brad! A previously leaked General Hospital script tells what happens next – when Brad’s parole hearing takes place, Willow and Michael are there and Michael gives a victim impact statement. That usually means the victim, in this case Michael, although arguably, Willow is a victim as well causes the incarcerated person’s parole to be denied. Since Sonny has not successfully kept Michael from giving that statement, Ms. Wu could consider it retaliation against her nephew and the Wu family could retaliate against the Corinthos family because of it!
