General Hospital spoilers tease that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) will face down an enemy in an upcoming episode of GH; but just who IS Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober)?

Is he really the one behind the attacks, or is he just a scapegoat for someone else?

General Hospital Spoilers – Cyrus Renault Is Behind Bars! How Can He Control Or Challenge Anyone?

After much investigation, Sonny is led to believe that an inmate in Pentonville Prison is his enemy, and the challenger to Sonny’s turf in Port Charles; but the guy’s behind bars! Sonny knows that there is a prison hierarchy where some guys do call the shots there, but it is very seldom that it reaches out to the city where someone on the inside is controlling someone on the outside, and in this case, a whole bunch of someones! Sonny himself isn’t even that good!

The only way this guy could be calling the shots from inside a cell is if he has the whole Pentonville staff bought and paid for, and that is pretty doubtful. If that were the case, Sonny could have paid the right person to get Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) out of prison and with no pesky parole officer controlling her and Jason Morgan’s (Steve Burton) love life!

Besides, where would this Cyrus guy get any information about Sonny, his family or his organization from? He’s never heard of the guy until now, and there is only so much someone can get on the Internet, which is not even available to someone like Cyrus who’s behind bars!

GH Spoilers – Cyrus Renault Has No Connection To Any Of The Crime Families

As far as Sonny can tell, this Cyrus guy has no connection to any of the five crime families, and they don’t know who he is either! From everything they can tell, he’s a loner with a lot of henchmen who are either very loyal to him, or he is just the frontman – a scapegoat who the real leader works through to hide his own identity, in most cases and the background guy is the one who is really paying and dispatching the henchmen.

Whoever he is, he has some nerve defying not only Sonny but the five families as well, in trying to get a foothold in the mob scene in Port Charles! Julian Jerome (William DeVry) is out of the mob but he knows who is who and he never heard of this guy either!

The creepy thing is – whoever is really behind the attacks on Sonny, his business, and his family members has eyes on them everywhere and knows everything and everywhere any one of them is at any given time; how do you protect yourself against an unseen enemy who is working through a front man inside a prison?
