General Hospital Spoilers: Sonny Starts Questioning Who He Is, And Starts Looking For Clues

General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Sonny Corinthos, (Maurice Benard) suffering from amnesia, will start questioning who he really is and start looking for clues in upcoming episodes of General Hospital!

General Hospital Spoilers – So Close, And Yet So Far Away

General Hospital viewers will recall that Sonny, who made it out of the Hackensack River and walked quite a ways before collapsing, was taken in by Phyllis Caulfield (Joyce Guy) and her husband Lenny Caulfield (Rif Hutton). This was after a hiker found Sonny unconscious in the snow, and got him to a hospital where Phyllis was on duty as a nurse.

She brought him home and after some discussion with her husband, they let him stay. Sonny decided his name was Mike after looking at his watch, which was inherited from his late father, Mike Corbin (Max Gail). He also has a wedding ring but there is no inscription on it like there is on the watch. General Hospital viewers will also recall that Phyllis Caulfield is the nurse who cared for Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) at the Crichton-Clark clinic, and who delivered an infant Nelle Benson (Chloe Lanier) to the Benson family in Florida.

Sonny, if he could remember, would likely have recognized the story Phyllis told about a patient who came out of a twenty-five-year coma and was looking for her long lost child. But as it is, Sonny’s memory wasn’t even triggered. He doesn’t know who he is or where he is from. He only knows that apparently he had lithium in his system and he was very resistant to the thought that he could have some kind of mental disorder and apparently was being treated for it!

GH Spoilers – Sonny Corinthos Turned Up Far, Far Away From Where The Searchers Had Searched

Sonny turned up far, far away from where the searchers had searched for him and then finally gave up. Their response to his family and friends is that his body must have washed out to sea because there was no trace. The only thing they found was his Saint Christopher’s medal tangled in the wreckage of the bridge that had collapsed underneath him.

He had been wearing a suit, and the jacket was not on him when he was lying in the snow. That is likely where his wallet where his driver’s license would have been was. So far, it hasn’t turned up anywhere either. Sonny starts to wonder who he was and who might be missing him. No one has come looking for him, so once he is settled with having to take medicine and he’s out of his manic state he may be able to think a little more clearly. His mind will no longer be racing and he will be able to sleep better.

Perhaps his subconscious mind may provide him with some dreams of his former life and that will be what inspires him to start looking for clues. Sonny doesn’t seem to be much of a Damian Spinelli, (Bradford Anderson) and will probably not turn to the Internet for his search. He may wind up on a journey, leaving Phyllis, Lenny, and the Tan-O Bar in search of the man he once was; or, perhaps he will open up to Phyllis about his search for himself and she’ll be the one to scour the Internet! It’s surprising that she hasn’t already!
