General Hospital Spoilers: The Redemption Of Nikolas Cassadine!

General Hospital spoilers tease ever since Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) returned a few years ago, he didn’t quite seem like the man he was before. While it’s true that Nikolas has done some pretty awful things in the past, nothing has compared to his actions from the moment he was shot by Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart).

When Nikolas was shot, he fell out a window into the icy cold waters below. His chance of survival seemed low. And Nikolas capitalized on that fact.

General Hospital Spoilers – Nikolas Cassadine Let The World Believe He Was Dead!

For three years on General Hospital, Nikolas plotted revenge on Valentin and schemed to take back the Cassadine fortune from him. Revenge and money were apparently more important than letting his family and friend know that he was actually alive. But when he came back, at first he let Ava Jerome (Maura West) believe that he was a ghost and taunted her about her dead daughter Kiki Jerome (Hayley Erin). He worked with Hayden Barned (Rebecca Budig) during this time. When he thought Hayden was going to give him up to Valentin, he arranged for Hayden to “disappear” and even now, it still isn’t clear exactly what happened to her.

GH Spoilers – The Many Sins Of Nikolas Cassadine!

To list every one of Nikolas’ dirty deeds from that point would take way too long. He tried to make it up to his son Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) for letting even him believe he had been dead for so long. But Spencer wasn’t having it and with the help of Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) he tormented Ava, with whom Nikolas had fallen in love with and eventually married. But Nikolas slept with Esme in a weak moment and she became pregnant. When Nikolas made threats against his wife, Ava hit him over the head and he apparently died from the injury.

General Hospital Spoilers – Another Change For Nikolas Cassadine!

But Nikolas hung onto life, and his body was spirited away by Mason Gatlin (Nathanyael Grey). Mason worked for a mysterious female boss who was seemingly based out of Pautauk. While the woman’s identity hasn’t yet been revealed, she had Mason take Nikolas somewhere where he clings to life even though he is apparently on life support.

But Nikolas will eventually wake up and perhaps his head injury will change him back into the man he once was. It’s even possibly this will happen soon enough for Nikolas to stop the villainous Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) and return his son back into Esme’s arms. While Nikolas has much to atone for, perhaps that is the best place he can start!
