General Hospital spoilers reveal Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss) may have been clinging to life when Mason Gatlin (Nathanyael Grey) found him in the tack room of the stables at Wyndemere, but he has since been nursed back to health Nikolas is growing stronger than ever and he’s due to make a major comeback in the weeks ahead.

Nikolas is going to show up at the Nurses’ Ball, much to the surprise of everyone there. But no one will be more shocked than his ex-wife, Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) — who thought she killed him.

We’ve always known Mason wasn’t the kind of dude who carries out these tasks without reason, but it’s generally someone else’s reason pointing him due South. Austin Gatlin Holt (Roger Howarth) mentioned many times that he was no longer interested in doing Mason’s dirty work, or that of his “boss lady.” Who is this boss lady though, and how much does Austin actually know about her? Is the boss lady who wants Nikolas nursed back to health and held as leverage over Ava?

Nursed back to health will be an understatement. When Ava last saw Nikolas, she was certain he was dead, as was Austin. He certainly won’t look dead when he shows up at the Nurses’ Ball. His appearance is going to stun everyone, especially since they assumed his departure had everything to do with not wanting to go to jail for holding Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) hostage. It won’t be long before some people close to Nikolas are wondering if the person who has returned home is the same person who left.

General Hospital Spoilers — Who Can It Be Now?

When we last saw Nikolas, he appeared lifeless in a makeshift hospital bed in a private room off the map somewhere. Mason was making sure his vitals were stable but it was clear he was going to need some time to recuperate. At the time, Adam Huss was filling the role of Nikolas as GH fans were led to believe he was on his way out and that no one would be reprising the role for some time. Well, time may be up.
