General Hospital Spoilers – Sonny Corinthos And Brenda Barrett Together Again
Benard’s daughter got married this weekend and Vanessa Marcil was right there for the wedding having a great time. Benard posted a video of him and Marcil together dancing.
“I’m just so happy I got to see Vanessa again at my daughter’s wedding,” Benard said in the video. Marcil chimed in with a mobster Sonny impersonation as a response.
GH Spoilers – Where Has Brenda Barrett Been?
After becoming a supercouple in the 1990s, Sonny and Brenda remained on-again, off-again for years as both left the show. Marcil has been the one who has come and gone the most and during her last stint, Sonny and Brenda actually married.
However, that marriage didn’t work out after Brenda’s life was put in danger, as well as the life of her little boy. She chose to take the boy and live with him in Europe so they could be safe, tearfully telling Sonny goodbye. We all wept through that scene again as it re-aired when classic episodes were shown last year.
General Hospital Spoilers – Sonny Corinthos And Brenda Barrett The Beginning
Brenda had only just graduated high school when she met the dashing Sonny Corinthos. He wasn’t a mob boss then but did work for the mob. He tried to go legit to make Brenda happy after their adventure in Puerto Rico, but it didn’t work out. When Brenda was convinced by Ned (Wally Kurth) to wear a wire just to find out what Sonny was up to. But he found that wire and they were never the same again.
Sonny married Lily (Lilly Melgar) just as Brenda married Jax (Ingo Rademacher), but Lily and her unborn child blew up in a car bomb just as Jax and Brenda made their toast. Sonny was devastated and Brenda was torn.
Eventually, they reconciled and planned to wed but Sonny left Brenda at the altar for her own protection. This back and forth went on for decades and fans would love to see Marcil back and Brenda gives Sonny a run for his money again. Will General Hospital ever make that happen? Stay tuned to find out.

There are many of us that will always be Sonny and Brenda fans. They had something that Sonny has never had with anyone else, even Carly. Sonny and Carly will most likely never separate but Brenda will probably never come back to Port Charles either. If she WOULD, all bets are off how Sonny would react. Jax, too. They both loved Brenda with everything they had.

Sonny and Brenda will always be number 1 with a bullet for me! Their chemistry is off the charts on and off screen! They have a friendship and mutual respect offscreen that is easy and genuine! It would be great to see Carly in beast mode because Brenda has always been the one she fears most where Sonny is concerned. I can just hear Brenda saying something ditzy and snarky like, "Ok well you can be Mob boss since you love it so much, and Sonny, he can just come with me! No pun intended." Let the games begin!! lol
Ahhh, but love often defies logic. Hence the term, "crazy in love!" That was Sonny and Brenda…and still is. They couldn't stay together but couldn't stay apart.
Bullchit keep Sonny with Carly. That is not fair and not right to take her husband away from her just to pair him with his ex. Sonny has a family with Carly Brenda doesnt . Not right.
