Valentin is working his smoldering Cassadine charm, trading barbs with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) like it’s an Olympic sport, and dodging explaining himself to Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) so she maintains her plausible deniability. But wait — did he just drop a hint?

In a recent scene, Valentin slipped into his old pad — now Sonny’s place — to grab passports for himself and Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlett Fernandez).

While many fans noticed the names on the passports weren’t their own, only longtime ABC soap fans knew what they meant.

GH Spoilers Hint the Past Comes to Light

Years ago, James Patrick Stuart played the role of Will Cortlandt on All My Children, and that was the name on his passport. Add to it that the passport for Charlotte was for Melanie Cortlandt, who was one of Will’s sisters back in the day.

Could it just be a light-hearted bit that the writers threw in — or Stuart suggested himself — to pay homage to old characters and AMC, giving devoted fans a good laugh?

Sure, but it’s also possible that there is more to this story that has yet to unravel. For starters, what if we got it wrong all along and Valentin is no Cassadine after all?

Maybe the big secret WSB Chief Jack Brennan (Chris Mckenna) is sitting on is that Valentin is not and was never a Cassadine, meaning Charlotte isn’t either.
