General Hospital Spoilers: TJ Ashford Recast Coming? Here’s What We Know

General Hospital (GH) spoilers imply it’s been a hot minute since fans have seen TJ Ashford, last played by Tajh Bellow.

Still, with Jordan Ashford’s (Tanisha Harper) recent car crash, will he continue to remain off-screen? Will the ABC soap recast the character? Here’s what we know!

TJ Ashford Has Been MIA

The last time fans saw TJ was in December 2024. After he and Molly Lansing-Davis (Kristen Vaganos) parted ways, TJ drifted off the canvas.

In early 2025, it was noted that Tajh Bellow was dropped to recurring status by General Hospital, and he hasn’t been heard or spoken of since.

That is, until Jordan and Curtis Ashford’s (Donnell Turner) car accident. While Curtis escaped the ordeal with a few scratches, Jordan was fighting for her life.

There was a scene between Curtis and his Aunt Stella Henry (Vernee Watson) on Monday, April 13, where TJ was mentioned. In addition, Jordan asked about TJ during the Tuesday, April 14 show.

With all this TJ talk, could the character return? Could the show decide to recast TJ?

TJ Ashford Recast?

TJ wasn’t given a proper send-off; the character was simply written out of storylines. This means he could “return” at any point, without much explanation.

Bellow is technically a recurring player; he could always come back at any time. With that said, if General Hospital wanted to revamp TJ, then a recast would be the way to go.

After all, mentioning him once (and his concern for his mother) is one thing, considering the situation; however, TJ was mentioned two days in a row.

This often is a tell-tale sign that writers are planning a character comeback, so only time will tell. As of this writing, the show has not announced TJ’s return.

Still, a TJ return would be an interesting thing. After all, it would be nice to see him mixed up with the Ashford family once again, but probably even more intriguing would be a possible love triangle.
