General Hospital Spoilers: TJ & Molly’s Surrogate Debuts As Lily Anne Harrison Joins The Cast

General Hospital (GH) spoilers note a new face is about to enter the land of Port Charles. During the week of August 14th, Andrea Gates will debut, played by Lily Anne Harrison. She’ll meet with TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow) and Molly Lansing-Davis (Brooke Anne Smith) about potentially becoming the couple’s surrogate.

GH spoilers suggest that Gates will connect with the couple and there’s a good chance the trio will end up moving forward with the surrogacy.

Interestingly enough, the actress has a special connection to the soap, as Gregory Harrison (Gregory Chase) is her father in real life.

Still, reports note that Lily had been auditioning for the show for a while, prior to her dad’s arrival in 2020. Ms. Harrison recently spoke to Soap Opera Digest (SOD) about how she landed the role of Andrea Gates.

GH Spoilers – It Was Not The Part She Auditioned For

During her interview with SOD, the actress revealed that she initially read for a more “sinister” role. Sounds like she originally auditioned for the part of Betty Rutherford (Ella Lentini), Avery Jerome-Corinthos’s (Ava and Grace Scarola) “nanny”.

Still, Ms. Harrison notes she didn’t snag that part because the show’s casting department wanted to set her up in a “warmer” role.

This means the Andrea Gates character will likely be a sweet one, who is sure to impress Molly and TJ. GH spoilers hint that this first initial meeting will likely go well, and the couple will decide it’s time to move forward with plans to expand their family and include Andrea in the whole process.

Having said that this is the land of daytime drama, where nothing goes as “planned”. Fans should expect some hiccups along the road as both TJ, Molly, and (possibly) Andrea, experience issues as they try and welcome Baby Ashford into the world.
