General Hospital Spoilers: Trina’s New Direction, Love Story With Newcomer Gio?

General Hospital spoilers tease that Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) has found herself in a position she never expected to be in. Mere months ago. Trina and Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) were planning on spending several months in Paris together.

Coming Up On General Hospital

Trina had earned a prestigious internship there, and Spencer offered to accompany her. They had one romantic night together when Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) showed up and terrorized them both while they were celebrating their love on a luxury yacht.

Spencer Cassadine Is Presumed dead!

In order to save Trina’s life, Spencer lunged at Esme and the two of them tumbled overboard. Although search parties looked for days, neither Esme nor Spencer were found. Sadly, Spencer was presumed dead leaving Trina devastated.

Unable to go through with the internship, Trina sadly came home. She decided to take the semester off from her studies completely, and has found herself directionless as she continues to mourn the loss of Spencer. But perhaps, it’s finally time for Trina to step back into the light.

Gio Palmieri Is New In Town!

Gio Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza) arrived in Port Charles for the wedding of his cousin Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton). Gio, a talented violinist, played at the wedding where he also met Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) and Dex Heller (Evan Hofer).

While Joss and Gio seemed to hit it off quite well, he also bonded with Dex. Right now, Dex and Joss will be dealing with the beating Dex took at the hands of Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Bernard), but there is a chance Gio will be smitten with Trina, not Joss.

Trina Robinson Is In Mourning!

Soon enough, Gio and Trina will meet and that could easily be the start of a new romance. Trina is still mourning Spencer, so any new romance will have to take place slowly.

So of course, once Trina is ready to move on with Gio, Spencer could come back should the show choose to recast with another actor. But that’s at least months down the road, for now look for Gio to make quite a splash in Port Charles.
