It was about the same time as he was trying to take over ELQ after finding out he wasn’t really a Cassadine, and she did sign over some shares she inherited as Shiloh Archer’s (Coby Ryan McLaughlin) widow, but there had to be more to it than that. Valentin is not easily blackmailed, if at all! Valentin was in a position, if crossed, to be much more of a danger to Nelle than Nelle could have been to him!

With the recent development on General Hospital of Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) having talked Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) into giving her Nelle’s half of the split heart pendant that Avery Corinthos-Jerome (Ava and Grace Scarola) found in the woods near the Corinthos cabin, the secret could come out rather unexpectedly and in a shocking way. Ava and Nina are rather friendly, and if Avery were to have a playdate with Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlett Fernandez) and Avery was wearing the necklace, Nina could see it!

If Nina were to see the half of the pendant on Avery on General Hospital, all kinds of misunderstandings could take place! Longtime General Hospital viewers will remember that Nina was not always the sane, reasonable upstanding businesswoman she is now!

General Hospital recaps show Avery was born when Nina put Ava into labor and kidnapped the baby and ran off to Canada, with Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) going after her! Nina and Ava were romantic rivals years ago when Silas Clay, (Michael Easton) her first husband cheated on her with Ava. Ava and Nina were pregnant at about the same time, and seeing the pendant on Avery could easily make Nina think that Kiki Jerome (Hayley Erin) had really been her daughter!

That would be as painful as finding out it was Nelle! So what is the truth that Valentin would try to help Nina see? If he knows it was Nelle, which he may have, he may want her to see the truth that the trail ran cold with the couple in Florida that Phyllis Caufield (then Juliette Jeffers) gave the baby to, and try to discourage her from looking for her any further.

General Hospital spoilers show Nina had seemed to be content with her thoughts that her daughter is grown, happy and living her best life somewhere, but then she put her half of the pendant back on! That might mean she wants to continue the search, and Valentin won’t want her to know that she buried her daughter!
